My own background and experience was so similar - I was way too young to watch the film on release, so I collected Starburst issues, bought the graphic novel (which the newsagent thought was a bit too graphic !) and read the ADF novelisation. Finally, Fox re-released it in the cinema, allegedly to "prove there was no demand for a sequel" and I managed to blag my way into that, although I think the ticket girl just took pity on me and my wispy 15 year old beard. And my experience with Alien Isolation? I have a copy and I've never loaded it. Too scared. I may have a solution for us both however: https://www.eurogamer.net/alien-isolation-mod-replaces-xenomorph-with-thomas-the-tank-engine

Aww poor jingles!

I’ve always been terrified of that film, and I’m nearly ten years older than you. So trust me, I watched with my heart in my mouth and shat it just as quickly. Well done for getting that far…

Grzegorz Zych

Amazing. Same time next year?

Thank you for confronting your fear just for mine and a lot of other peoples enjoyment but do I now need to up my Patreon payment to cover your therapists bill? I also know your pain but for me it is Greys. The thought of waking up with them standing over me is terrifying. I do all I can to avoid all images of them but in todays media this is not easy. This fear is also from something I watched when I was young (I can see it now in when I close my eyes) and even at 52 it never goes away. Thanks Jingles.

Jingle those nightmares almost sound like night terrors. Or one of the fluf balls is sleeping on your chest

Antisoda

I keep having the exact same "nightmare" about being back in the army. In the dream, I have no idea why I'm back in or when I'm supposed to get out. I've had this dream so many times, I "remember" having been "back in" several times, serving in different places I've never actually been to. The confusing thing is, I was in the army back in '95 and this didn't start until a couple of years ago. :) It's not actually a nightmare, as such. I just wake up very frustrated and annoyed.

LMAO!!! Jingles needs a support group now... He'll never go to sleep now.
