Chapter 302 Testing

Chapter 302 Testing
Ilea was woken up by light shining through the missing window of her apartment in Tremor. Sadly no birds were chirping and no busy city life could be heard outside. No distractions. Her dreams had been filled with undead and soul rippers, horrible monsters straight out of a fantasy novel, game or film. Not beasts she would want to fight, monsters instead that she would avoid, run from. It took her a couple minutes to shake the feel, turning in her bed to face away from the sunlight as she grumbled.
They were monsters that existed, horrors she had faced, had fought, with her own body, her own fists and skills. She was in a dungeon now, sleeping in the bed she had brought with her storage necklace. And I evolved my classes yesterday. Her eyes opened a little wider as she looked at the hand before her. She hadnt slept as long as she had intended, instead woken when the suns reached into the mountain, into the place she had claimed. A ruin once owned by a noble.
Sitting up, Ilea realized she wasnt hungry. Of course she wasnt. Most of her eating since reaching the two hundreds had been done because she liked it, not because her body needed it. Blinking outside, she relieved herself onto the royal gardens. At least thats what she thought they were. No officers around to stop her, only the king still stuck in his palace. Maybe some new silver plants will grow at least. Pants appearing again, Ilea yawned and stretched, black hair flowing in the wind.
Maybe not using armor all the time isnt so bad. She thought, feeling the sun on her skin for the first time in a while. A smile blossomed on her face before she realized the math assignment she had due. Not the worst place to do some work. She thought, spreading her black wings that took her onto the roof of her home in Tremor with two beats.
Sitting down on the edge of the flat roof, Ilea summoned her notebook and continued where she had left off, steel pen in hand. The first thing she noted was the additional 100% increase for Body Enhancements her second class provided after the fact. What she had looked at yesterday had been only the bonuses from The Azarinth Sentinel and the previous ashen class Inheritor of Eternal Ash. I wonder what it means now that its not eternal anymore but only ash. The bonuses spoke for themselves, the thought quickly shelved.
Sentinel:
Absolute Destruction possible mana used increased from 20 to 100. Healing skill, meaning an increase by 100%? Also chargeable.
Hunter Recovery to Sentinel Reconstruction, something with critical damage calculation and the 100% increase from the class.
State of Azarinth to Azarinth Awakening. All bonuses increased from around 300% to 525%. Intelligence boost added at 525%.
Hunter Sphere to Sentinel Sphere, removed bonuses to senses and secret discovery. Added mana sight.
Body of Azarinth to Sentinel Core, 350% resilience, magic resistance from 50% to 225%. Natural health regen from 140% to 1080%.
Azarinth Fighting, damage bonus of 487.5% increased to 682.5%.
Hunters Sight to Sentinel Huntress, gauge peoples distress. Usefulness?
Ash:
Veil to Armor, Resilience from 402.5% to 1000%. Body Resilience +1000%, same bonus? Doesnt apply to Armor itself?
Form of ash and ember to Aspect of Ash, bonuses increased from 287.5% to 402%. Intelligence bonus added at 402% :).
Ash Creation to True Ash Creation, no clue. Possible demonic or religions thing? Dont become ash demon.
Embered Body Heat to Heart of Cinders, area attack? Usefulness?
Wave of Ember to Storm of Cinders, ash magic bonus from 0% to 100%. External attack possibility? Compare to mana intrusion. Test subjects: Terok? Goldie? Maro?
Ash and Ember manipulation to Ash and Ember Unity, test density. Passive bonuses? Damage bonuses apply? Test projectiles.
Eyes of ash, bonus to perception without weapon from 250% to 400%.
Body of Ash to Avatar of Ash, reflexes and speed 250% to 400%. Toughness for Resistance skills. 1st tier 11, no 12. Equals 60%. 2nd tier 16 equals 160% - 220% toughness. Same as resilience?
Warrior of Ash to Keeper of Ash, damage increase from 350% to 500.5%. Weight and density times two to increase speed/strength? Wouldnt I be slower? Test on. Terok.
Ilea sat the pen down for a while, reading through the bonuses again. A ton for sure but reading it a second time made it less overwhelming than she had felt yesterday. She culminated the bonuses that were more graspable on the next page.
Stat increases, Vit +15, Str +10, Dex +15, Int +20, Wis +5. 13 levels worth.
Healing, should be x1.5
Resilience bonuses, old ca 1012.5% - new ca 3507%
Speed bonuses, old ca 837.5% new ca 1327.5%
Strength bonuses, old ca 587.5 new ca 927%
Int bonuses, old zero new ca 927%
Dex bonuses, old 287.5% - new 402%
Magic Resilience old 50%, new 225%
Damage bonuses, old ca 845% new 1183%
Weight and density of body, x2.
So three point five times more durable. Fifty percent faster and stronger, maybe faster due to the Dex bonus. Biggest one for sure is the intelligence bonus. Should be ten times the damage now for my magic attacks. Ilea said out loud, Plus all the utility changes coming with several skills.
Standing up, she put her notebook away. Three hundred health were sacrificed to activate her third tier State, no Azarinth Awakening aura. First thing she noticed was that the runes starting to glow on her were blue again. Welcome back.
Testing her healing, she found her health was back at the maximum after a little over two seconds only. So really a hundred percent more. And now its the same if I heal others? She assumed as much, the mention of herself healing more quickly had been removed after all. Ilea watched it all through her sphere, noticing the blue wisps around her intensify as soon as her third tier had activated.
Her second aura, aspect of ash activated, the lines on her body a deeper red now. Less fiery and flamboyant but she could see them through her sphere, like bright lines of cinder cracking through her skin. Even though her body was supposedly twice as dense and heavy, she felt lighter on her toes. Shadow boxing on the roof made her chuckle, her fists reaching their intended destination far more quickly than before. At least it felt that way. Her perception had changed too after all.
The thing Ilea was most interested in was her Veil, now Armor of Ash. Activating the skill, she instantly felt it. Not like before where the ash moved on its own and layered itself onto her skin or worn armor. Now she felt as if she had a say in the form it took. Thinking of her armor mold, she tried recreating it and found the ash moving to her will. A solid dark gray, nearly black layer of ash resembling her Rose Hunter set formed on her quickly. The clothes she was wearing ignored, the shroud of ash was completed.
Ilea looked at her arms and grinned. Not a piece missing. Tendrils of ash writhed around the solid armor, giving it an ethereal touch. She could increase the effect if she wished, Ilea noticed. The grim fucking reaper. She thought, looking at herself through her sphere, ash moving around her slowly, the single piece armor looking solid as steel. Moving in it wasnt an issue either, the joints simply adjusting. Likely less durable during movements. Still better than real armor with actual pieces.
Her eight limbs of ash came to life behind her, the tips sharpening before she carefully cut into the stone of the roof. Like fucking steel. Moving to her armor instead, she tried to pierce it with the limbs but found it hard to penetrate even a millimeter. Moment of truth. Deactivating her armor, she watched in fascination as it disintegrated quickly, similar to her wings. Putting on a Rose Hunter set, she again tried cutting into it. Feeling the in her arm a moment later, she realized it had already penetrated.
Through Stonehammer steel. She noted, activating her armor again. This time she couldnt form it to her wishes, the ash simply layering over her steel armor instead. Again trying to cut into it, she found it harder. Still, after a couple seconds of applying pressure, she cut through the ash and immediately through the steel. So until I find something substantially better, Ill stick with clothes or light armor. Speaking of which.
Ilea put on some Hand leather armor, one of the two remaining sets she had. Again, she activated her ashen armor and found herself once again able to manipulate its looks freely. Alright so now its not about good steel but the best skins I can find. Got it.
The armor was kept up, not costing more to maintain than it had before. The good thing about her Veil already was that the higher its level, the less mana it cost to maintain. The same was true for her evolved skill, only slightly reducing her regeneration.
The ashen limbs behind her swayed slightly but otherwise Ilea didnt feel anything massively different about them. Creating some ash in front of her, she formed a sphere, adding more and more as she squeezed it together with her magic. More and more mana was transformed into pure ash, the sphere already looking solid. She heard a crunch, then another as she still added ash. When she finally couldnt make it any more dense, she let it float into her hand. A solid black orb. Doesnt look like ash to me.
Swirling it around herself, she let if fall into her hand again. I have no idea how heavy this is. Ilea barely felt the weight but when she let it fall, it didnt even bounce, a rather solid thump resounding. Jumping down from the building, she let the ball float next to her, the thing only around five centimeters in diameter. Using all the magical power she could put into it, she slammed the thing into the ground.
Rock flew past her and a cloud of dust formed in front of her, her sphere letting her know the thing had penetrated several meters into the stone floor. Damn. Ok thats pretty fucking cool. This time she formed a lance, again adding as much ash towards it until she couldnt make it any denser without making it too big. One meter fifty with around two centimeters diameter. Fly.
Fly it did, aimed at the house next to her own, the spear crashed through the wall, the wall opposite that and continued onward. Ilea spread her wings and flew up, just barely seeing the thing vanish into the void after penetrating three houses. Okay, viable ranged weapon. Acquired. Creating two more spears, Ilea wondered if throwing them would be better. Turns out, maybe. If she had a throwing skill that was. Her magic allowed for a straight shot while her throw managed to penetrate the first wall but crashed sideways into the next one.
Just let me throw things please. Ilea again added a throwing ability to her training list. Wait my body is twice as dense and heavy. The ash around me is my body? Gaining the bonuses from Passive skills. She smiled, Thats why theyre so fucking destructive. Ilea looked at her arm as she walked to the already half destroyed house. Wave of Ember, Storm of Cinders. She hit the wall with her fist, using the evolved skill but not as it had been used before.
Embers, magic and fire shot out of her fist when she impacted the wall, breaking through the portion she had hit. Looks more like a wave of embers than it had before. She noted. Her sphere had made the hit look even more spectacular, a large amount of mana surging into the air creating an explosion of heat in the process.
Heat. She noted, blinking onto the house and activating her newfound Heart of Cinder. Her body immediately grew hotter, as if a fire was lit within her. More and more, she added, wisps of flame forming on her ashen armor, embers floating away. Ten seconds later, the floor was getting scorched, another ten seconds and she started to lose health, her body itself burning up from within. Ilea smirked and counter healed. Soon her health began sinking again, her sphere turned off as the brightness she was giving off nearly blinded her.
When her health was down a thousand points, Ilea released the stored up heat in a blast around her. Fire erupted and when she blinked her eyes, eighty percent of the house had vanished, turned to ash. Even the ground she was standing on had sunken down several meters. Granted it was normal stone but Ilea doubted anyone she had met so far could create something like this. Viper maybe. Claire with her explosions, possibly. I didnt just blast it away though. Ilea noted, the very stone reduced to ash. The roof, now unsupported and partially removed collapsed, the parts still remaining at least.
Bricks fell down, some landing on Ilea, bouncing off her armor and landing on the ground. Yea Im going to keep this one. She hadnt gotten any options for new skills anyway but more might come up. Now she was interested in the third tier of this one in particular. Ilea tested again, creating heat for one second, then ten and then as much as she could until her health started going down. One second created a shock wave of heat around her, likely nothing major against a powerful enemy but possible enough to push away lower leveled creatures.
The ten second one was already a fiery sphere, expanding quickly and burning up everything in its path. Probably still more powerful than anything I could produce before the evolutions. The blast when going as far as losing health was substantial. Ilea had a hard time grasping the power of it all against stone alone. I should be able to level my heat resistance like this. Considering her constitution and healing, the blast was likely much stronger than most similar spells could produce. Others might have a way to simply push in more mana but for her it was a matter of resisting the heat, keeping the skill active for longer didnt cost exponentially more mana. Just the same rate for longer.
Better than heat camouflage Im going to die against a dragon because of this change, right? Ilea was getting used to the changes now, feeling just as comfortable as before. Having no use for her armor anymore, she quickly blinked into her own house and left the remaining sets there, both damaged and whole. She hesitated for a moment. Should I keep one? Ilea wracked her brain but found no good reasons to keep it. Should her mana grow low enough for her ashen armor to disappear, she wouldnt have the mana to summon the steel one either. Should her ash armor be pierced, the 1000% increase to her bodys durability was still stronger than what the steel could provide.
Going to talk to Goliath about light armor then. His creation certainly doesnt count as that. The armor was left behind, to be found by whomever would discover and search through this dungeon. Blinking to her room, Ilea stored her bed, one of her most prized possessions. Looking out the window, she was happy to see her neighbors apparently planned to renovate. Blinking out, her wings spread before she made her way down towards the part of the upper city that hadnt been cleared yet. She doubted the elves and Terok were already done.
It didnt take her long to find a patrolling knight.
[Knight of the Rose lvl 305]
Hey what a coincidence. She said, smiling under her ashen armor. There was actually space left out between the ash and her mouth, making it quite comfortable both to have it active but also to talk. Nearly as much as the armor her mold had produced, though she assumed the ashen one being less comfortable had to do with the leather armor she wore below the ash. Fighting naked would probable be the nicest. As careless as she was, Ilea wanted to at least have some clothes on should her corpse be found by some adventurer.
The knight, shield held to the side rushed at her and brought his sword down. The blows had been enough to dent her Stonehammer steel armor, as well as her Niameer one. Enough to cut into her, easily breaking through her Veil when she had been fifty levels lower. She simply watched as the weapon neared, trusting in her third tier Azarinth Fighting.
She smirked when the steel smashed into her armored shoulder with a dull sound. Nothing. Ilea noted, feeling the ash on her and how it pushed against the knights weapon. The attack damaged her about as much as her own ashen limbs had. That was, not at all. Oh, Mr. knight. How the turn tables. She grabbed the sword before he could react, dragging him towards her. Absolute Destruction. Ileas fist rushed out, smashing into the knights chest with a resounding bang as bits of blue smoke and wisps rushed out from the impact, steel caving in from the sheer force of it.
She had used the full 100 mana. Keeping her hand on the blade, Ilea watched in awe as the knight stumbled back. A moment later he slumped to the ground, all strings cut. Overdid it a bit hmm? As much of a boost her Destruction had gotten, Ilea didnt expect to kill an undead knight with a single hit. Maybe he was damaged no wait they regenerate. I guess having an Intelligence boost of nearly a thousand percent will do that, coupled with all of the other stuff. Looking at the sword in her hand, she dropped it. I dont need this.

For that? Well I wont say no. Considering what Maro had talked about, shed need quite a bit more to level at this stage. Undead knights perhaps, the real deal this time. Ilea thought and spread her wings. Got a head to get back.

I had typed something about how I'm not sure if that would be a side chapter since it progresses the main story, or at least I hope it is still part of the main story! ... then I checked what the side stories up are, and saw one for Alice! I would like to see Ilea go back to the south and check up on things, without fighting the Golden Lilly. I also think itd be cool to introduce Cless to the King. And maybe level boost her up, as she could easily protect her now. Also looking for metal mage dude would be cool too.

Ilea's heavy archery could actually be quite viable now..... if she could create a bow with a heavy draw from ash, arrows from ash..... benefiting from her body enhancements. Wonder if she can store formed ash yet.

If it was a linear progression of int = speed then she'd definitely already be there, but like Str flight speed is probably on a pretty harsh curve and likely requires some extra oomph to get to truly ridiculous speeds. Although I bet that the 2nd stage of Wind Magic Resistance drastically reduced the intensity of that curve and will only keep getting better.

Guys what do you think about llea's speed when she flyes don't you think she should be much more faster now? All that grows and multipliers for her ahsen skills she can be move with supersonic speed now don't you think? and also she can sacrifice her heals to get boost at speed as well!

We should definately see her with 3000mana charge plus bonuses to initial dmg a soul ripper.. after testing on another enemy first. The testing she’s done though indicates it should be immensely powerful.

New gimmicks possible thanks to the evolutions: Charge Absolute Destruction up to 3000 mana before starting a fight, then sacrifice 2000 health to briefly overcharge Azarinth Awakening's stat multipliers before blinking in to annihilate any single target. Damage should significantly greater than 3150x the damage of a single punch before the evolutions. Also at least 31.5x the damage that just one-shot a rose knight, probably a lot more. Charge Heart of Cinder up for a minute or two, sacrifice a bunch of health to Azarinth Awakening and blink into a large cluster of enemies (try miststalkers?). Same premise. Use ash to form small barriers, tripwires, etc. to mess with the mobility of opponents. Ilea experimented with this before, but it wasn’t reliable or efficient enough to use effectively. It should be now. There’s a lot more possibilities here with a little imagination like using ash to mimic general telekinesis or timing strong blasts of ash to unbalance an enemy or redirect an attack. Test just how far a single cohesive ashen limb can extend now. Ilea should be able to rapidly lance and retract her ashen limbs to that range and land Storm of Cinders with every hit. She already did something like this with her ashen limbs before, but if she can hit further away now, she should be able to keep it up while outside of enemy melee range. Manipulate large clouds of ash to rub against each other to generate heat and static electricity, resulting in a localized lightning storm, just like what happens at the mouth of an erupting volcano. Bonus points for using Storm and Heart of cinders to amplify the heat. With that much mana in the air (and ash), this should also work as an instant camouflage bomb, useful for obscuring her exact position from sight and magic perception, while also creating an environment where she has all the advantages. Take it one step further and set off multiple such ash storms to cover a large area. These are just some ideas off the top of my head. They might not all be viable but the general picture I’m getting is that Ilea’s at a whole nother level now. She’s got such a diverse toolkit of powers available now that, if she’s clever, she can reliably crush anything below level 500 and probably most things below 650. Granted, she's probably too invested in the thrill of a fight to just munchkin everything.

Oh, god, add an aura multiplier, too? That makes a hideously wonderful amount of sense, although I don't know that it outweighs the possibilities of yet more percentages to body enhancement. Perhaps there is a class out there that has body enhancement/aura the way Azarinth has BE/Healing and Ash has BE/Ash. I've been leaning toward hoping for lightning enhancer for her third class, but you have given me food for thought -- unless maybe there is a variant of lightning enhancer that is BE/Aura, lol. I have to assume, however, that it's more likely to be BE/Lightning.

Well she claimed she felt her Azarinth class was not an exact glove fit to her impression of her own image of herself. Maybe that can be amended somewhat when she hits 350 and has all her class skills at least at the beginning of tier 3. My guess is it would be easier to at least temporarily add a member or 2 to her party to fill any utility like skills or abilities she currently lacks until she gains even more classes or possibly a treasure or artifact that might help her. Personally it would probably be better as a reader to let her be rewarded for her exploring with useful treasures now, starting a third class immediately after getting to level 300 would probably be considered a lost opportunity and poor planning by the author. I’m sure the author doesn’t want to infodump the readers too much and that would be a genuine danger unless it was impeccably executed.

I always felt like her Ash class was less her and less complete or optimized than her Azarinth class. But while her Azarinth class got a huge boost, her Ash class got a still much larger one, and more importantly, retuned. Now she's got an Ashen Magic bonus alongside her Body Enhancement, just like Azarinth has healing, well less but still. Now her Ash class is giving her an AoE she can stand in and projectiles and they scale off Body Enhancement and Ashen Magic which she now has a bonus in. All her Ashen passives now suit her and her Azarinth class. They compliment each other with bonuses like bone density and muscle density, overall durability and toughness.... If anything it's her Azarinth class I now feel is less optimized. Not to downplay her healing that makes it all possible or her massive upgrade to Destruction. But seriously, Ilea is so well rounded now! 300 has given me a lot more respect for evolutions and the actions/choices that can lead to them. :-) Personally I'm hoping for something related to Auras for her third class....

Not to forget the soul eaters the kings guard, and maybe the lower levels of the descend should also get some love. Maybe ending the ark with going into the descend until she can go no more. and than there was the dungeon with roots or so that was seen as to dangerous.

I don’t understand this fascination with the south. I joined to read about the exploring and grinding. Can you really stomach going back to the politics and games of weak humans and their petty small time wars? Looking at Elfie map she hasn’t explored even 5% of the north.Only reason I see to go back now is for cake.

I was also thinking the same thing. You need a shit ton more experience after 300 but... she's now strong enough to take on much much stronger enemies solo which she was having trouble with before. And she's got so many to choose from! They are everywhere in the north. Once she goes back to the human plains she isn't going to be leveling much at all, but here there are so many options that it's crazy. I do hope she gets at least another 20 levels before leaving. I bet she could get to 350 in a few months and then see what happens once someone has all their 3rd tier skills, but I doubt that will happen before she goes south. I think she should reset her 3rd tier blink marker to Hallowfort or Tremor before leaving and then just fly south. She will be able to find her way back to Ravenhall and her home much more easily than she will be able to find these places in the north again. I also hope for a rematch with the arcane lightning on the flight home. That would be a fitting show of how much stronger she has become. Dragons could probably still insta kill her actually but yeah against most other sentients she is probably in the top 1%. She'd probably have to get to lvl 500 and get another evolution OR get her 3rd class in order to have a shot against a dragon. Remember dragons are supposed to be on par with a major natural disaster in terms of destructive capability. They're seriously bad news.

You know I thought her ability to level would pretty much end at 300 but now I wonder, as others have said, if it might actually mostly remain the same...if not speed up. The reasons for me thinking this are one of the elfs off hand remark that normally for her to level to 300 would take years from the 290's which she pulled off in weeks. The other one is her power up, without even spending the other 2 tier 3 points she has, is massive with her dual evolutions which should allow her to surive and kill much more now. She was after all fighting and winning against mobs who are 200lvl+ higher than her at a decent speed. Or was anyways at sub level 300. Even with a large xp nerf for leveling above 300 I bet she could get to lvl 310 inside a week or 2. I bet others just weren't able to cope with the solo dungeoning necessary to level given what was said earlier about leveling above 300 but for Illea that is just a normal day! After all she still has plenty of Soul Rippers along with any remaining corrupted undead Rose Knights who will still be 200lvl+ stronger than her to kill. AND she has a better way to kill them, probably not easily but much easier before. The Soul Rippers in particular should be much easier to kill. They're obviously ambush cave dwellers normally but with them being out in the open and their propensity to remain still + being sightless she can do a flying dive bomb attack with her spears now to soften them up for a fist fight or just run away and repeat the attack over and over again until they're destroyed. Might even be able to do the same thing with the corrupted Rose Knights as a combat opener. She might even actually kinda need to get to level 320+ anyways. Remember that Golden Lily mage that got mentioned visiting the North was at that level and if she decides to go up against them you just know they're gonna make it a unfair fight and bring that mage + some others to tag team our fav MC in combat. Pretty sure she is gonna need a edge of some sort. Especially since Illea seems to eschew combat weapons/accessories.

Bot all effect are afected by the bost, ao it is not an 100% on that one for an simple example the 150% bonus she gets for a long fight is not afected. Same with the effect for each resistance she just got.

im pretty sure 4 marks would be over 1000 since that lvl 1100 or w/e whale was still 3 marks. the power system seems to be broken into tiers. third tier being reaching 300 and able to handle 3 mark monsters, but id expect her needing to reach 500 before she can fight 4 marks. id also expect a time skip to cover most of the 300-500 gap since the author has decided that leveling is impossibly hard, proven by how rare 300+ sentients are

would also guess that she levels a lot faster, I guess it's really difficult or dangerous for people at level 300 with less powerful classes to fight higher level monsters, i guess it slows down for her as well but I doubt that it will be as significant as for others.

Thanks for the chapter. Well while it might take her a lot more enemies to level, she'll probably level faster than before with how many ??? enemies she can fight now (and beat faster). As for the 3rd tier skill spending, betting on Sentinel Core and Avatar of Ash. Although she might need perception upgrades if she moves to quickly now.

She should test her wings too. It's not obvious, but it went from +400% from body enhancement to +700% from body enhancement/ashen magic, AND Ash and Ember Unity/True Ash Creation/Armour of Ash/Your will is ash and embers, They should have gotten quite the upgrade too.
Now that the grinding arc is nearing it's end, it's time for another world-building one. Or maybe a Loose Ends arc back in the Human Plains to resupply on cake and touch base with her friends before the she starts exploring more.

I can't wait to see how this arc progresses. I'm looking forward to how Ilea's friends will handle her return. I'm curious as to how the Hand, and the rest of the country, is doing. I understand where some may feel that this arc has been slow, but I feel like it has made the lvl 300 accomplishment just that much more potent. The only thing I would of like to see is some side stories that could be used to both show what is going on in the rest of the world and could be used to break up the constant grind chapters. I don't know about anyone else, but those side chapters you have are really interesting and good for more than just breaking up the Ilea chapters. Using side characters like them you can help bring back the understanding that Ilea is a mindbogglingly strong. You also have a large stable of secondary characters that you can weave some interesting stories for while also fleshing out other portions of the world. The example I'm going to make is pointing out how PirateABA has handled side characters in 'The Wandering Inn'. I don't know if you are familiar with that particular webserial but I highly recommend checking it out just to see how the author handles side characters to show parts of the world that the main character isn't going to witness/experience for a long time. Regardless, I'm excited to see how you progress things from here out.

I'm not sure you intended this, but with Ilea's bones being 3 times more heavy and dense (that being a healing and body enhancement skill), aren't they actually 27 times as heavy and dense (800% increase)? Also, I really enjoyed the last few chapters so thanks!

When you say she is three point five times as resistant, it should be thirty six point o seven. Get the boost +3507% / 100 = +35.07 To get the multiplier Base(100%, 1) + 35.07 = 36.07

That is putting the Cart before the horse, she has only just reached lvl 300. I defintely agree that lvl 500 will probably be the next class upgrade point but it is a while away. I am more inrerested in seeing what happens at lvl 350 when all her skill will be tier 3. The tier 3 class skill points will hopfully be Replaced by something good.(I hope G. Harthane has thought up something interesting).

She really came so far in so short a time. In around one year she went from level 233 to 300 in the north, and I'm sure she'll get another 10 levels at least before she leaves from the really high level monsters in the north that she can fight now. She's only been in the world around 3 or 3.5 years total and is only like 22 years old. And now she's in the top tier of humans and even sapient beings that we know of. I'm sure there's some things at a higher level like the elf oracles, and we don't know if dragons here are sapient, but Ilea is now a power unto herself. They will want to make her an elder in the hand but I think she will decide to "consciously uncouple" from them to avoid being dragged into their messes and politics. Maybe she will start her own merc group, a small collection of super high level battle maniacs who take on triple and quadruple mark threats and protect civilians, but otherwise do their own thing like exploring dungeons and new areas. And knowing Ilea, she wouldn't limit membership to humans.

Before both her evolutions her status was: Vitality: 671 Endurance: 400 Strength: 500 Dexterity: 400 Intelligence: 600 Wisdom: 700 After both evolutions her status was: Vitality: 686 Endurance: 400 Strength: 510 Dexterity: 415 Intelligence: 620 Wisdom: 705 sentinel and kin together adds: Vitality +60 Strength +35 Dexterity +35 Intelligence +50 Wisdom +35 sum: 185 stats So her correct status after both evolutions should be: Vitality: 731 Endurance: 400 Strength: 535 Dexterity: 435 Intelligence: 650 Wisdom: 735 Sorry for the wall, also don't mind this if I've misunderstood how the stats from evolutions are supposed to work.

Since all Ilea's skills are going to be 3rd tier by lvl 340, I wonder what she will get at lvl 350? and all level after that. I hope something Interesting happens at Lvl 350. edit: mabye some sort of skill personalization points that allows her to upgrade the skill that didn't get upgraded with her class. and then fully personalization them to herself but personalization all her skill to first her class and then her would still only take her to lvl lvl 480 for The Azarinth Sentinel and lvl 460 for Kin of Ash.( I assume you have probably already thought of something but still thought I would put my idea of what might happen from lvl 350 onwards with her skill points.)

Just a quick comparison of bonuses to her punch just then. Before it was 20 base mana damage(obviously more than 20 damage) + various variables. Now it's Y + (Y x 9.27) + various variables where Y = somewhere between 100 and 3000 depending on her charge. This is a change of base 20 damage to somewhere between 1027 and 30,810 base damage. Her total damage output is orders of magnitudes greater than it once was now that she has intelligence multipliers.
I hope she has the "healer" tag again because of the sentinel upgrades. I am really looking forward to her eventual reintroduction to society and the inevitable misunderstandings!

Stamina cost benefiting would probably be too strong, making her into an Undead never running out of stamina; though I guess she already does feel like that, and only her Mana limits her, but the invested points into Endurance would feel slightly awkward Avatar of Ash's resistance scaling would give it 8x scaling, giving her 1700% more toughness; that seems kinda high for a 2nd tier of a Skill, and would increase by 40% for every new Resistance she obtains. 'Tougher body' should be different than simply Resilience though, since otherwise the 220% she gains from the skill is underwhelming.

Hm I cant remember any statments on that the heal scale of anything but skill level. However it do make sence that it who'd gain strength from int, but as it is writen in this chapter it only have skill scaling.

Really great chapters I liked that some of the things in her Ashen class, especially the fighting with weapon parts, were removed and made to fit her style better. Ilea now needing leather is also something that simply fits her character better; slaying a Dragon (or simply a Basilisk) and wearing its hide feels just right, rather than her finding a strong metal. Also, I really enjoy small things like rewarding her, aside from just better classes during class evolution, for getting many resistances with her new Avatar of Ash skill; next class evolution won't be for a while, but she can easily justify her hunt for rare resistances with that skill alone. I feel Toughness should be different than Resilience though as she hinted towards, since gaining another 5% Resilience for a new resistance, Resilience of which she already has +3500% of, would be underwhelming Her Heal should heal her faster than just twice (or 1.5) as much with her getting 10x as much Int, right? I think for the Sapient Races, one would have to be above lvl 400 to kill Ilea now 1v1; granted, some others may also have done great achievements before lvl 300, but considering how greatly Ilea is geared towards fighting high-lvl enemies solo, and how close to death she still was fighting the Undead Knights, I don't think many less than lvl 300 have managed to do what she did and gain the achievement 10+ lvl 500 killed solo, which should make a big difference in the strength of their classes. I'm expecting her to at least be strong enough to clean out the Royal Knights now, though the Soul Rippers may have to wait; perhaps the Rippers will be her goal for just before reaching her lvl 400 evolutions, or right afterwards. Praetorians next? The Basilisk is probably for a later time, but I bet its skin would make for a nice armor. I really like the way you're making Ilea strong, since she isn't really OP compared to Dragons or the higher-leveled enemies she's usually fighting, she's simply very strong compared to most other humans her level (and has always been), and is very good at not dying. All in all, great chapters, really looking forward to more.

I thought of going for both of those too, but she now has a very effective AoE attack she could upgrade to the 3rd tier, and a ton of potential grinding spots where she can't make small pulls.... An explanation on that would be great, I don't think Ilea knows either.

Mmmh. Absolute destruction: x1.5 (healing), x5 (100 mana), x 10 (Int), x 1.4 (Fighting/Keeper), so x105 the damage it used to do. That's a 2 orders of magnitude damage spike in one level for it. (fighting/keeper numbers are gotten through new/old division). Storm of Cinders is a bit harder to tell because there are no mana numbers, but it has x2 from Ashen magic rather than x1.5 from healing.

Absolute Destruction lives up to its name, got the following damage multipliers: x1.5 (healing), x5 (mana cost), x10ish (intelligence), x1.4 (keeper) = x105 baseline plus she can charge it with more mana to deal x30 of the above, and she can further boost her momentary damage with a life sacrifice (which should buff Int too now) and the Aspect +150% single attack buff. On a different note, is there a reason the static buffs from Keeper of Ash (stamina cost by 35%) and Avatar of Ash (resistance scaling) don't benefit from body enhancement buffs like Sentinel Core's magic resist (25%->200%)?

it wasnt like she was pummeling them before, she had to dodge most of the attacks between hits that were at least 50x less powerful. if she sacrifices half her health, uses the ash aura, and charges for 30 seconds she better be able to do something ridiculous.

So, a few things coming to me offhand. First, please don't test your attack on Terok, you are going to kill him. Now, in the list Ilea ignore the toughness bonus she gains from Avatar of Ash, or the Durability bonus she gets from Sentinel Core. Also, +100% to Ashen Magic means x2, but going from +100% to +200% for Healing (applies to Reconstruction/Reversal/Destruction/Health regen) is actually going from x2 to x3, so x1.5. Now, her health regeneration passively should be pretty huge. She has 6860 health. She gain +1% minute from her Azarinth class general bonus, and sentinel core gives a 1080% bonus to that, so around 12% health regen/minute. So, if humans don't regen at all normally, she would regen 823/minute, so 13.7/s. If the normal human regen is 1%, then around 27hp/s currently.

Damn, the fact that she just 1 punched the knight means that the ONLY reason they had been a problem is because of the healing the king provides them, without that her mana intrusion would have quickly destroyed them. Hopefully when she meets up with the crew she does a demonstration with a full 30 seconds of charging up, while just holding it in place as if it was helpless.
