I think they are in a ruin of a castle. There is the wall and some buildings, but not everyone were part of the original castle. I think the area were the weapons were exhibted and the first fight happened is not being used by them because now it's a museum, not a real fort. But I'd like to see more of the structure too.

Won't be the last, I'll do an announcement type thing if I hit the last. Just not been working on it for ages lelel.

Arthur

Thanks for the chapter. I've been really enjoying this story so far. Looking forward to more!

I agree but I'm waiting for the shoe to drop on what a cosmic healer can really do so far there's not much difference to what she was doing before when she can affect so much more as seen with the monarch, she has the ability to withstand the sun an i understand putting the sun back would open the rifts again but why are they off to khorr to 'research' when they have the solution to putting the sun back already and the ability to deal with the rifts, plus nes and the people she's trying to help are never mentioned again when this would have been the perfect next chapter I mean its not much but there's still a little unfinished business

Bri

Fair enough much appreciation for the reply

I'd be interested in another story in the same universe, maybe set in the far future or something. We could see cameos or other influences and mentionings of the mythical Lilith or other characters. There's a ton of room for more stories in that universe. I do think it'd be hard for the story to continue while centering on Ilea though. She is for all intents and purposes a God now and short of world destroying conflicts there isn't much room left for her outside of deus ex machina and one punch man style interventions.

good comments. And yeah, it may turn out too grim for me, we'll see. Lotsa folks like that, tho, so it's all good.

I'd rather leave it open ended, and maybe/possibly get more if the mood hits GH.

Well, that was one somber chapter. I'll have to applaud you for this battle and its aftermath. The combat was written immaculately as we're used to from you. But it really takes some balls to take characters that you have carefully built up (ok, maybe except Bert, he didn't get much spotlight, poor guy) and killing them off. I think it was a good decision, though. It drives home the desperate, apocalyptical situation that they are in, and shows how the situation is not just solved by "just get a class and grind it up, all good". It gives more weight to their struggle, adds to the desperation they must feel. AH was in most parts relatively lighthearted in comparison, even through events like for example the first Riverwatch invasion by the elves, and I'm sure not everyone will like this darker approach. But I'm loving it. One thing though: I find myself rather confused by the layout of Keilberg Castle. At first I had imagined it more as a proper medieval Burg, but it seems I was wrong in that. The outer walls are relatively low, and the main building does seem to lack any and all defensibility that I'd normally expect. A Bergfried, normally the core of the Burg and its last line of defense, seems to be entirely missing. There seems to be none of the chokepoints, narrow stairwells, or any other of the commonplace defensive installations that are supposed to impede attackers once the walls are lost. So I guess either the core of it has been drastically rebuilt, or it was actually more of a recreational Jagdschloss that they built some proper-ish walls around rather than an actual Burg.

Narf

Well that is your prerogative, but your surprise and blame towards normal random people from the streets not being able to immediatly turn into hardened fantasy warriors within the first few days is highly misguided in my eyes. Nobody but Kate has a built-in steroid that turning them into a killing machine, and except for Grey's rather childish excitement nobody was even remotely mentally prepared or happy for the situation.

Bri

As much as I'm enjoying this I have to admit not knowing if cosmic healer is the last chapter of azarinth or not is bugging me

dave hutch

I'm going to have to drop this. I'm really angry at greys death and I blame everyone apart from Kate. I feel like everyone who is currently alive but don't fight and don't try and train are parasites.

Demerval Augusto da Cunha

I must say that I was quite surprised, most of the time characters die like that, they are poorly constructed characters, of low importance and that the authors try to push as an emotional weight without much success, but Greey and Ethan were well constructed and were really interesting characters, u had a lot of nerve i must say but it seems to have worked out wonderfully for me at least, looking forward to the next chaps.

Philip Pleiss

The last couple chapters have been beautifully crafted. They really seem to encompass the emotional hit of how suddenly death can take someone away, and the ensuing shock to those around them. Thanks

Great chapter
