Dev Log #10 - The next Update.

Happy Friday!
I’ve been working on the game all day for the past few days and made decent progress. But I still think the next update will be better if I work on it over the Easter holidays — that’s why I’m planning on releasing the alpha around the 25th/26th. I hope you’re all alright with that. <3
I’m currently still working on the cooking evening scene, which is the longest and most complex scene in the game so far. I’m just shy of 1,000 lines of script and only about 2/3 done with it. Certain lines are influenced by 3 or 4 different variables. So far, I really like how it’s turning out — all the relationships between the "main cast" are developing here, and it feels like a good next step. I hope you’ll like it! <3
One of the big scenes I have planned for WTPH is a house party, which I want to be really open-ended, with lots of player choice. I might even make an update focused just on the house party, because I want it to be that big. The cooking evening scene should act as a tiny little teaser for it.
I’d also like your opinion on something: What do you prefer?
Bigger images that are partly covered by the dialogue box
Smaller images that aren’t, but leave more of the screen empty
I added an opacity slider for the dialogue box (like someone here suggested, thank you <3), and for the smaller images, I often try to add something to the sides if there’s something worthwhile to show — but sometimes the sides just stay empty. So tell me what you think :D I’ll leave a comment under this post where you can vote for your preferred style.
