MNL Progress Report #55

Unfortunately, between some personal troubles our crew was having and some technical hiccups, we weren't able to finish some stuff to show for this update. Amber's new model needed some more time in the oven, some animations were being a bit fussy importing into Godot, and we were only able to get one full illustration finished completely. We do have significant progress being made in all three of those areas, though! Amber's model just needs to be re-rigged and then we can call it complete. Those fussy animations DID eventually end up importing successfully, so now we have a few more options in how our characters can emote. And finally, you can expect more illustrations and art very soon~
Until then, enjoy this sweet scene from Sweez of Amber and Petty hugging... and probably the last illustration of her wearing clothes, for that matter.
Anyway, sorry we didn't have more to show. I still wanted to do tonight's progress report, even if progress was slower than usual this week. That's just the way it goes sometime, and I want to keep you all in the loop regardless. We'll try to have a lot more to show for next week! See you then!

Unfortunately, between our original lead developer leaving, having to switch engines and relearn/rebuild everything, development has taken much longer than anticipated. We're making good progress though, so I hope to have a more accurate timeline soon!

When will we be able to play the demo? I remember a post earlier this year saying that the game was initially meant to be ready by that time. It's been more than a few months since.
