hey, appreciate that! yeah, you'll certainly have to change some things once everythings already been merged down, but that's something you get used to over time in those cases most often i'll either use a new temporary layer on top of the merged stuff to paint what i want changed, or sometimes ill select the area that i want to change and duplicate it on its own layer and that way have some more control over modifying and transforming it when it comes to client feedback, its really a balancing act between what's practical enough and allows you not to get too bogged down in layer management, but still provides enough space to quickly make changes when working on characters, for example, i'll usually send over a final blockin where i have lights and shadows still separated, wait for their feedback, apply it, and only then merge, after which the coming feedback's usually and hopefully not as intense or overarching to still need those layers hope that helps!

First of all I love your tutorials and explanations. Second... has it ever happened where after you have merged everything you have wanted to do changes to it and then couldn't, and if so, how have you solved that problem? Also, isn't it better to keep everything divided so if a client wants to change direction of the shadow for example, or specific color, or background, you can do that more easily? Thank you! :D
