This is such a creepy episode. The drawings and the creepy ass tree the woman was found under. Yikes.

@David: I know you don't do pilots per se, but this episode makes me ache for you watching at least the pilot episode of Firefly. Maybe you can do it as a Friday night movie event! Take me out to the black, tell them I ain't coming back!

There are no cows in space, except on Serenity.

The sunlight disease is real, although the symptoms are dramatized for effect in this episode. People afflicted with it do get second-degree burns from sunlight exposure but their skin doesn't literally start to burn and smoke. @David: The entire opening was a homage to Fillion's previous show "Firefly". If you look up images of that show you'll see why.

In case you have never heard of or seen the short lived TV series titled, Firefly and its spinoff movie titled, Serenity created to finish off this cult classic... Nathan Fillion starred in this beloved one season series, and he plays the infamous Space Cowboy... Captain Malcolm 'Mal' Reynolds. Malcolm Reynolds is a beloved character to anyone who has ever loved cult classic TV series. And the costume he wears throughout this show is the very costume Nathan Fillion wore in Firefly. I love it!!! And fans of both shows love this episode of Castle for this moment! :)

I was waiting for this episode, it's one of my favourites of the early season 2.
