Ming-Na Wen, the actress who plays May, is a beast. The person who directed this episode, Kevin Tancharoen, is one of the developers of the Mortal Combat: Legacy web series, so that just makes your Mortal Combat references even better.

That tech....the face 'stealing'....was first seen in Winter Soldier. Natasha used it to pretend to be a member of the council to get into the room so she could release all the Shield/Hydra files to the world. Wasn't seen in as much detail as it was here, but it was shown in the MCU before.
