Was going to give you props for not texting through half your reactions like someone else..... lol though you did at the start missing the "1984" bit

most stranger things fans are gen z so i don’t think not growing up with 80s culture would make you enjoy it any less. it’s not really about the 80s, but for those who were alive during that time period may appreciate the little references they throw in a lot more

Eleven's awesome

This was my first time watching this show. Not bad... I already knew about Eleven from spoilers I've seen. Maybe I'll watch with you.

I haven’t seen this in a while and I still need to watch S3. Maybe I’ll just rewatch with you and then watch S3 when you get there. This was a great opening episode. The first time I watched it I was like wtf 😳. The only thing I think you missed is how Chief Hopper told the science teacher his daughter lives in the city with her mom but then when he walked off, another volunteer told the teacher that his daughter actually died.

I'm curious to see how a younling such as yourself will react to this. I grew up with E.T. and Stand By Me, so for me Stranger Things is a total drive down nostalgia lane. Brian, what's your experience with 80's movies and culture?
