I never actually saw it that way. Dunno. I've taken it as Zach saying "you're being an idiot dude, you did this to yourself" and being happy with the outcome. But he was genuinely into the idea of a graphic novel.

it was pretty obvious that zach was intentionally pushing seth toward that woman so he could move in on summer. i'm surprised you didn't pick up on it until the very end.

I mean yeah, it's a teen drama so it's supposed to be a little soapy 😅 But I agree!

I think the OC has always had some soapy aspects, but towards the season 2 finale it will get way more real and interesting imho ..
