This is an unpopular opinion. I think seasons 3 and 4 were solid with some great stuff, even though the first 2 were clearly better. However, this finale is trash. It contradicts things that were previously established, the "solution" doesn't make sense if you think about it for more than 5 seconds and for how much of a bummer it is, that's inexcusable. Amazing show, with some consistency issues and a massive, massive letdown of a finale that makes me retroactively wonder if the writers really did ever have any idea what they were going on about. It cheapens and invalidates everything that happened before and that's a finale's cardinal sin.

I think seasons 3 and 4 are for the most part not all that great, I think the final 2 episodes of the show are pretty great. And this is a great series finale.

I joined your Patreon because of The Good Place, so it's bittersweet to see it come to an end (I'll be sticking around for other shows though). Your mic still cuts out every once in a while -- I hate missing any of what you have to say! The song playing over the end credits is the one Michael kept trying to compose.
