I feel like with Shay, that Kelly is her best friend, she really cares about him and she's not going to let him get fired, but she is still angry that he put himself in this situation in the first place. Which I think is reasonable and makes sense to me.

Casey wants kids, Hallie (Hal-e) doesn't but used the career excuse as a way to push it off. This is why they broke up originally so I don't know why they got back together anyway
