Totally get what you mean about the Doctor Who vibe, it’s definitely the flashes of the white room that gives that vibe. Too-sterile environments can be very ominous! 😄 and also agree about Dean and Benny too. Dean took his own advice about being all in or all out. But I also think he did it as a peace offering to Sam. He had just ‘made’ Sam give up his girlfriend for the cause, and he knew Sam hated Benny and wouldn’t like seeing Dean have a friendship outside the job especially with someone Sam hates and when Sam doesn’t get to be happy himself. So I think that was Dean’s olive branch.
