As far as a pilot goes, this episode is near perfect. I am not giving it a 10 but I will give it a high 9. As a stand alone story this episode is great. We get to know Jeff a bit and we get a great introduction to our lovable study group

Its so funny looking back at how different the plot is from the majority of the show. Its like two different shows.

This isn’t a great episode and the characters act so different from what they develop into. It’s a great show though and should be a fun journey

The pilot is not as good as the show is. Slowly but surely the show is going to get crazier and crazier.

it's a pity you watched the shorter version :D it's hilarious either way

I'm not super familiar with how much / how often the syndicated version of the show cuts the episodes, but hopefully future episodes don't edit out quite as much as the pilot. There is legit like 5 minutes and half a dozen scenes cut from this one, which makes some of the transitions a little jarring. But I'm glad you still enjoyed it.
