I'm so excited for this!! I haven't started watching this yet though. I'll wait for part 2 and watch it as one. I'm so sad that we're onto season 8 already but at least we've got 2 movies after that...

Actually, I think it takes place after season 6 but before Deez Nups in season 7. Specifically, because part 2 has mentions Shawn's book being written but not yet published.

Huh. What service were you watching this on? I’ve never seen the Musical split into two parts before. It’s basically a movie, so I’m surprised this service did that. Oh well, though. At least you found somewhere to watch it! :]

I was so glad you knew Anthony Rapp lol, I’m a huge fan of RENT. There’s also Brad from Rocky Horror Picture Show (and a reference with the ‘damnit Janet). I absolutely love this musical but I do actually agree on wishing the songs had been catchier. There is one during the credits that you will absolutely get stuck in your head though lmao.

So the musical in-universe takes place in Season 6. That’s why at the beginning Shawn and Gus are talking about deceiving Jules. It aired in Season 7 though.
