fred was actually the biggest thing on youtube at one point. people of all ages somehow thought sped up chaotic rants was peak comedy. he even ended up getting his own movie

i love Lucas's (fred's) channel now, and i didnt like fred as a kid. But Lucas is really funny, i recommend his channel (lucas cruikshank). He does funny review videos and random stuff. He also did videos about his time on icarly and nickelodeon.

So at this time this was after Fred was super popular on YouTube and he did a few things with Nickelodeon, but Fred was very popular in the early YouTube days and he was exactly like this, during the random YouTube era.

i think i loved this episode when it came out bc i used to watch fred lol, but i was also like 8 or 9 around this time so definitely easy to entertain

Possibly the only worse way of watching this episode, is to not realise who Fred is going into it. You can't even prepare yourself then. It definitely dates this episode. As much as the character is annoying, at the time this episode came out he was the most subscribed channel on youtube - the first channel to ever reach 1 million! But he fell out of popularity hard and fast a long time ago now.
