i think at this point Cyrus in his head just thinks he really likes Jonas and thinks being nervous around him is cause he finds him 'cool'? So he hasn't really figured out it means more yet lol (that's not really a spoiler cause you already comment on him liking jonas and know he's gay). And honestly that's common for guys when they're kids and don't realize they're gay yet. They tend to get nervous cause they're 'just so cool', not realizing they just have feelings for them hidden as admiration.
