There’s only 3 montages, and the last montage shows you she’s unhappy in the photos. I like the romance of her and Ian it’s one of the things that shows the watcher that she’s changing her personality to be what “society” what’s her to be. She’s not mad at her dad for dancing with his step daughter she was more hurt. It parallels the first scene of her watching the father daughter dance and feeling like something was missing, and during her own father daughter dance he was dancing with someone else. I think you’re being too harsh on the ending. It made sense for the story they told.
