You also got it backwards in mouse and her dad. The dad and his wife at time couldn’t have kids, so they got a surrogate, mouse’s mom, to birth the kid. But it was done outside of any court with no proper paperwork the mom said. And cause she now had no legal reason to give it up, mouse’s mom kept the baby instead of giving it to her dad and his wife like they’d agreed
