"It's working," she breathed. Her heart raced as the implications became clear. All those years of work, the grants denied and experiments that failed - it had all led to this moment.
Jane jumped up from her desk, pacing the small confines of her cramped university lab. She had to test it. But on whom? Her mind raced through possibilities before landing on the obvious solution: herself. She was in perfect health with no complications, and as the lead researcher, she knew the risks better than anyone.
She prepped a syringe with the nanobot laden fluid and swabbed a patch of skin on her upper arm with alcohol. "Here goes nothing," she murmured, sliding the needle into her vein and depressing the plunger.
For a moment, nothing happened. Then Jane felt an odd fullness in her chest, like her bra was too tight. She looked down in amazement as her breasts swelled, growing rounder and fuller by the second. Her C cup bra strained to contain them as they pushed out to a D, then a DD and kept expanding.
Jane watched in the mirror as her breasts ballooned, the skin stretching taut over their burgeoning size. At 900cc, they finally seemed to stop growing, jutting out high and firm from her chest like overinflated beach balls. She poked one experimental finger into the side of a breast, shuddering at how little give there was. They were crammed full of saline, swollen globes perched on her slender frame.
"My god, it really works," she said aloud. In her excitement, Jane danced around the lab, marveling at the weird sensation of her new heavy breasts bouncing and swaying with each movement. She knew she would have to present her discovery to the board to get proper funding - but first, she needed new clothes that would actually fit over these massive implants! And water. And salt! God she was thirsty after the nanobots had taken what they needed.
Jane gazed at her reflection again, hands drifting up to cradle the solid weight of her 900cc breasts. They felt unreal, like something out of a cartoon. But she loved how exaggerated and improbable they were. Her formula was a success, and if she had anything to say about it, this was only the beginning. There were more experiments to do and much, much bigger possibilities on the horizon.

The next morning, Jane strode confidently into the university boardroom, her 900cc implants leading the way. Their immense size was barely contained by her tight-fitting navy blouse, round spheres distorting its shape. She knew the reaction they would provoke, and she wasn't disappointed. The all-male board stared in undisguised shock, their eyes following her breasts as if magnetized.
Jane smiled. "Gentlemen, as you can see, my experiments have yielded some rather dramatic results." She went on to describe her formula and its effects, unable to keep from glancing down at her own hugely augmented chest.
"While I'm still studying the long term effects, the initial results are extremely promising. With your funding and support, this discovery could change the world." Jane clasped her hands behind her back, inadvertently pushing her breasts out even further.
There was silence for a long moment. Finally, the chairman of the board cleared his throat. "This is quite...astonishing, Dr. Fields. What you've accomplished is remarkable. However, further study will be required before this formula is ready for human trials or distribution."
Jane felt a flash of annoyance. "As you can see, I've undergone the treatment myself with no adverse reactions." She gave her breasts a little bounce for emphasis. "I'm a living example of its safety."
The chairman reddened, his eyes darting down once more before he caught himself. "Even so, we have procedures to follow. I'm afraid more testing and discussion will be needed before we approve additional funding. My apologies, Dr. Fields."
Jane struggled to hide her frustration. Their antiquated ways would slow progress, but she was determined to make them see reason one way or another. She had her secret weapon, after all - and she intended to use it.
