As an environmental activist, she was passionate about raising awareness for important causes, but lately her efforts didn't seem to be making much of a difference. People were too distracted or apathetic to care.
Sighing, Jade leaned back against the brick wall of the grocery store, the late afternoon sun warming her face. Her friend Lindsay strolled over, two iced coffees in hand.
"How's it going?" Lindsay asked, handing Jade one of the coffees.
Jade shrugged. "Not great. I've only gotten a few signatures in the last hour. No one seems interested."
Lindsay pursed her lips, considering. "Maybe we need to try a new tactic. You know how much people love a pretty face. Have you thought about using your 'assets' to attract more attention?" She gestured vaguely at Jade's chest.
Jade's eyes widened. "What? No way. This is about the cause, not objectifying myself."
"Just hear me out," Lindsay insisted. "You've already got the looks, and with the right...enhancements, you could really draw people in. Get them talking, build some buzz. I know a great plastic surgeon, he could have you in surgery within the week..."
Jade shook her head, appalled by the suggestion. "Absolutely not. I will not resort to cheap tricks and body modification to push my agenda."
Lindsay sighed. "Your loss. But don't say I didn't warn you when your movement fizzles out because no one cares." She tossed her empty coffee cup in the trash and walked off down the street.
Jade frowned, Lindsay's words echoing in her mind. She believed in her cause with all her heart, but what if her friend was right? What if a little "harmless" objectification was the only way to get people to listen?
The next morning, Jade fidgeted nervously in the plush waiting room of Dr. Leyton's office. She still couldn't believe she was actually going through with this, but Lindsay had set up the appointment and prepaid the surgeon's fees as a gift.
"Jade Thompson?" the receptionist called. Jade stood up, her palms sweating, and followed the woman into an exam room.
A few minutes later, Dr. Leyton walked in, all smiles and charm. "So, I understand we'll be giving you a boost in publicity today?" he asked with a wink.
Jade flushed. "I hope this works. I just want people to care about important issues, not just...appearances."
Dr. Leyton patted her arm reassuringly. "Not to worry, my dear. A pretty face and ample 'assets' can be a means to an end. Now, let's discuss the size you had in mind..."
The following week, Jade stood outside the grocery store again gathering signatures, but this time she couldn't help noticing the difference in reaction. Passersby, especially men, were far more willing to stop and chat, their eyes constantly straying to her chest. Her new 800cc implants, high and tight in her chest, were doing their job perhaps a little too well.
Jade's friend Lindsay walked up, grinning when she saw the ample number of new signatures. "I told you this would work. You're really packing them in now!"
Jade sighed, shifting under the weight of her new implants. "I know. But they're so huge - I didn't think Dr. Leyton would make them this big. I feel...vulgar."
"You look hot," Lindsay insisted. "Besides, think of all the good you're doing! A few sore feet are worth it if you can get double the number of signatures."
Jade bit her lip, knowing Lindsay was right. Her new figure was attracting attention and serving the cause, even if she felt awkward and objectified. She had made her choice, and now she would have to live with it.
Over the next few months, Jade's efforts were hugely successful thanks to her voluptuous new figure. But her 800cc implants soon felt average as she grew used to their size and shape. When she went back to Dr. Leyton, she found herself requesting another increase, just to 1100cc this time - enough to really make an impact with the media and petitioners.
The surgery was more difficult this time, her skin stretched taut to accommodate the new sizable implants. But when Jade saw herself in the mirror a week later, her chest swollen and distorted under her shirt, she felt a thrill of power at the effect her new figure might have.
Her efforts over the following months exceeded even her wildest hopes. With every appearance, her profile grew. Talk shows, news interviews and spreads in popular magazines followed. But each time Jade looked in the mirror, her 1100cc implants no longer seemed quite big enough. She realized with dawning horror that she was becoming addicted to the attention her new figure brought, constantly craving more.
When she went back to Dr. Leyton, she asked for a much more ambitious increase - up to 2000cc, as big as he was willing to go. The surgeon balked at first, concerned about her petite frame, but ultimately the money and fame were too alluring. He agreed to the risky procedure.
The 2000cc implants strained Jade's skin nearly to the breaking point, swollen piles of saline that overwhelmed her small body. But she found herself aroused by the sight of her new cartoonish figure, the way her implausibly huge chest preceded her wherever she went. She began scheduling regular media appearances just to show off her impossible proportions, her cause all but forgotten.
One night, Jade stared at herself in the mirror, her massive 2000cc implants nearly bursting from an old bikini top. She grabbed and squeezed them, shivering at the sensations that rippled through her - but still, deep down, she craved more.
She knew this obsession was out of control, her ego and lust for fame consuming her until all that was left were her huge silicone breasts. But when she picked up the phone to schedule yet another surgery, she found she didn't care. She only knew she wanted - needed - to be bigger. Always bigger. The environmental cause that had started it all was a distant memory, lost behind an endless cycle of objectification and greed.
Jade smiled as she waited for the receptionist to schedule her appointment.
