Secret system spoilers
🕑 Added 2021-10-27 16:42:51 +0000 UTCAs you might, or might not have guessed, behind the scenes I have been tinkering with a player portrait system. A somewhat common staple of these types of RPGs.
The portrait will display your character based on your current equipment and change as things about your body change. Currently, the characters do not have any shading yet, and there is a glitch here and there (do you see the missing outline~). Also, there is a bit of a dead stare going on with char 3.
All combined, it is a lot of art, all of which needs to be made quite precise in order to fit together seamlessly. And it is consuming a lot of hours. It can't be sent out till all the current items are done, so release won't be for another two weeks. But, I am excited to show it to you lot when the time comes!
