Hallo hallo! I’m super excited to bring you this mod.
This genre has been done to death but I used to pole dance so this is a lovely tribute to a long lost memory. Can't say I was any good, but my sims can be!
You'll see a mix of new and old works as I've been steadily building enough animations for this mod.
Here's to simmies living the dream.
This mod consists of a dance pole object, 6 dance routines and 1 performance.
Find the object under 'Hobby > Creative/Misc' or use search terms 'MF' and 'Dance Pole'.
At level 1, all your sim can do is build core strength. Every increase in dance or striptease level unlocks a dance to a total of 5. Also increases fitness gain.
Each routine has a core focus on specific pole dance skills:
- Build core strength
- Body Wave
- Floor Routine
- Spins
- Feather
Note: Striptease skill requires WickedWhims.

Pole Maintenance
These dance poles can get dirty overtime and has to be cleaned like any other object. They get especially dirty faster if left out in bad weather. (Yes, they're portable.)
I've taken some creative liberties, so you can 'Upgrade to Self-cleaning' if you don't want to deal with dirt and grime.
The dance pole can also be upgraded to fit taller ceiling houses. Upgrade through the legit menu or use cheats, which is useful to upgrade in bulk.
(Hit: Shift + Control + C, type testingCheats true, and shift-click the pole)

Performance
Once your sim hits max level for dance or striptease, they have the option to do 3 performance-type interactions which will draw other sims autonomously:
Standard Routine
A combination of all dance moves learned from level 1 to 5 weaved into a 2-sim hour routine. Sims will give tips and watching autonomy is less strong.
Loreen's dance
A performative dance piece by Sweden's pole dance world champion 2018. I have posted this dance before for WickedWhims. Two usual options:
- Perform with Music: For cheering crowd effect and original music. (You'll need my ballroom dance mod for the cheering crowd effect)
- Perform without Music: Sims will give tips and watching autonomy is less strong.
If your sim is a celebrity, they will amass a crowd regardless of which option you pick.
Watching Sims
Watching is autonomous for performances, but you can also prompt sims to watch manually if you're not maxed level yet.
As the dancer, you can select a sim and 'Invite to watch'.
As the audience, you can select 'Watch <Sim> pole dance'.
Two additional ways to watch sims pole dance by clicking on the pole:
- Watch only: Seated or Stand.
- Watch and Learn: Gains dance Skill. Dancing sim must have higher skill than watcher for this interaction to appear.
Is this compatible with WickedWhims?
The pole object will be recognized by WW next update, so you can use them in strip clubs. These dances however are not part of the animation list for stripper dances. They're rather vanilla-esque and stamped with Crumplebottom's seal of approval (in my dreams).

Excuse me PLEASE fix this issue. The pole is there and the ONLY thing i could do is put the pole in my sims inventory; when i try to "practice" the sim lags and does not do anything. PLEASE get back to me.

You're right. Pole dancing is considered attractive for active sims. Autonomy is switched off in the latest update though. Please redownload and delete the old version. 🙂

I guess it's becasue of the active trait but I'm not sure. But it seems my other Sims don't want to use it that aggressively like the sims with active trait on which I based my finding.

Came here through WW. Literally the best animation I saw so far. A question though. I read there is some autonomy for watching a performance. But is there also autonomy for doing practice or performing a dance? My sims always wants to pole dance now (normal home lot) and I literally have to abort this all the time. I would prefer if practice and performing would have to be done manually aside from the usual autonomous WW dances on the stripclub lot. Maybe also some other mod interferes in case this kind of autonomy is not a mod issue.
