Sporepop
These stationary creatures grow in clusters across infected areas. Upon detecting nearby organisms, they detonate, dispersing a dense cloud of infectious spores.
Spreader
This enemy, equipped with tentacle-like appendages, prowls the vicinity of infected zones. Upon detecting uninfected organisms, it swiftly closes in and detonates, dispersing the dense cloud of spores aimed at infecting its victim.

I don't plan to add it as a gameplay mechanic, but there will be something similar in cutscenes.
