Normally her kids would be driving her crazy, giving her no time to herself, not allowing her to rest at all. But tonight, they were at a friends house having a sleepover, which meant Maria actually had time to watch TV by herself.
The Latina mom was sitting on the couch, feet up on the coffee table as she flicked through the television channels. Everything was great, except she couldn't find anything to watch. How ironic, any other time there would be something on she wanted to see, but couldn't because of her kids. Now she could actually watch something, and there was nothing on...
But then, as she channel surfing there was something that caught her eye. On a channel called "TranceTV", a channel she had never heard of before, a beautiful woman sat on a stage next to a man in a suit. "Good evening everyone and welcome to the hypnosis show. I am the hypnotist and this is my volunteer. Let's get the show underway!" Said the man.
The audience cheered as the man reached into his pocket. The pretty girl was smiling and anticipating being hypnotized.
"Hypnosis show?" Maria asked herself, raising an eyebrow. "Hmm, that sounds interesting. I'll watch this then." She then turned up the volume and placed the remote down on the coffee table, before sitting back and relaxing on the couch.
The hypnotist held a golden pocket watch in his hand that he began to swing in front of the eyes of his beautiful volunteer. "Now just keep your eyes on the watch and listen to my voice, my dear. Watch as it sways from side to side and listen as I ease your mind..." The camera zoomed in on the watch swinging.
Maria looked on at the TV, watching as the watch moved so rhythmically on the screen. She sighed, relaxing.
"Finding your eyes glued to the pretty watch as everything else fades away." The hypnotist explained, his voice as smooth as butter. "Just letting all those stresses and worries fade away so you can rest..."
Maria started to feel so relaxed. The world around her become a blur. All she wanted to see was that beautiful watch... All she wanted to hear was the hypnotist's words... She needed a rest so badly. It felt good to let go and watch the program. She started sinking back into the couch with half-lidded eyes.
"And now noticing yourself becoming so relaxed, now so very sleepy... all you want to do is close your eyes and let them rest... so do that now and..." The hypnotist snapped his fingers. "Sleep!"
In sync, both the volunteer on TV and Maria at home fell under the spell of the hypnotist. Heads falling down, chins at their chests: they were each plunged into a land of hypnotic bliss.
Of course unbeknownst to the hypnotist on television, he not only had his volunteer hypnotized, but a second volunteer at home! And who knows. With Maria falling under his spell, maybe many more viewers were hypnotized on their couch right now too!
"Very good." Said the hypnotist, a grin upon his face. "From this point forward, you are in a trance. My words are your absolute truths. Do you understand?:
"Yes.. I understand..." Maria said softly, no longer paying any kind to the girl on TV. She didn't even hear her saying the same thing.
"Perfect. Now once I snap my fingers, you will turn into a pretty ballerina, putting on a elegant dance on stage." The hypnotist explained with a snap of his fingers.
Maria's eyes opened and she sat up. It was time for the show and she wanted to dazzle the audience, so she stood up and began to dance so gracefully around the living room. Her eyes were glazed over, as she was deeply lost in a hypnotic delusion. One where she was on stage as a ballerina. The young mom twirled around on her tippy toes all through the room, feeling the wooden stage beneath her bare feet instead of her carpet, and feeling her feet inside ballet shoes as well. Maria really was in a completely different place in her mind.
"Oh my, the audience loves you!" Exclaimed the hypnotist. "Go ahead, do a bow to your fans, then have a seat and sleep."
Maria smiled and did a bow, hearing her fans cheer for her performance. She then sat back down onto the couch, before slumping over to her side in a deep, deep sleep.
"Now as I snap my fingers, you will find yourself becoming a monkey in the jungle!" The hypnotist commanded as he snapped his fingers once more.
This time Maria practically jumped out of her seat. She stood with her legs spread, and arms spread out beside her, as she looked around and went, "Ooh ooh ooh ooh!" The hypnotized mom starting walking around the room like a chimpanzee, though she felt dirt beneath her feet and saw the greenery of the jungle around her. Looking to her window curtains, she saw them as vines and grabbed one, swinging from one to the next before landing back on her feet. "Ooh oooh ooh ahh!" Maria blurted out as she looked curiously at the TV, not quite understanding what it was.
"Haha! Very good!" Belly laughed the hypnotist. "Don't hurt yourself now, instead imagine my watch swinging back and forth in your mind.. calming you down and returning you to normal.. feeling yourself falling deeper into a trance..."
The monketized mom stopped and slouched down, her eyes rolling back and forth as if she really saw the watch in front of her face. Her mouth opened and she started to drool.
"Very good..." Said the hypnotist. "Now when I snap my fingers, you will find yourself believing that the room is being filled up with knockout gas! Your shoe will now be a gas mask and you must keep it over your nose and mouth so you don't pass out." He snapped his fingers.
Maria's eyes widened. She saw gas coming in through the vents of her living room and pancaked. Quickly, she hurried and grabbed the first shoe she saw, which unfortunately happened to be her smelly work shoe, and put it over her nose and mouth fast.
Maria let out a sigh of relief as she breathed in her own smelly shoe's stinky stench. It smelled so bad but she had to do it if she didn't want to faint in her living room and end up unconscious. She didn't know why her "gas mask" was so stinky in the first place.
"Oh my, that was close." Said the hypnotist. "Good thing you had your gas mask so close. Take a seat, now. Find yourself getting just a little curious as to how the knockout gas must smell. Just a little whiff won't hurt, will it?"
Maria took a seat with her shoe on her face, starting to look at the green gas she saw in the room. He was right, she did want to see what it smelled like, so she slowly lowered her shoe from her face and-
"Oops, that was a mistake. The gas is so powerful just a sniff will turn your lights out and leave you snoring!" The hypnotist exclaimed.
Maria gasped in surprise as she inhaled the gas. Right away, she became weak and powerless, dropping her shoe to the floor. Her eyes started rolling back into her head as she struggled to stay conscious, but it was no use. The gas easily dominated her and left her slumping back onto the couch, now snoring with her mouth wide open. "ZZZzzzzz..."
"Now, as you sleep so deep, I want you to imagine yourself at a nightclub. You've had quite a few drinks.. and you're really ready to party." The hypnotist said with a short laugh. "And when I snap my fingers, you're going to begin twerking! You'll want to do nothing but shake your ass to the music. Now shake what your momma gave ya!" He snapped his fingers.
Maria was no longer at home, seated on her living room couch. Instead, she felt like she was transported back in time to her college days. She used to be the life of the party back then.
Maria stood and stuck out her booty, before beginning to shake it like there was no tomorrow. In her mind she was at the club, music blaring as she wiggled her butt to the music. The single mom was twerking so hard, she started to work up quite the sweat. But she loved it and wanted nothing more than to shake her big ass.
"Very good!" The hypnotist cheered. "But now, as soon as I snap my fingers, you realize you're actually at church." He snapped his fingers once more.
Suddenly, Maria looked around and started to blush hard. She quickly stood straight up, and then sat down on the couch again, hiding her face from embarrassment. Then she heard the word "sleep", and she was slumped over again, no longer embarrassed or humiliated.
The hypnotist was pleased, and smiled at his volunteer on stage. Little did he know he had another volunteer too. "You've been such a fantastic volunteer tonight. But I am afraid the show is about to end. Let us have one more suggestion, shall we? Now you will stand and and march like a zombie. Repeat the words 'I am hypnotized and I must obey'." He said. "Go along now, march for me!"
Maria did as she was commanded. She stood from the couch and started to march, her arms stretched out in front of her. "I am hypnotized and I must obey..." she repeated.
The single mom marched around the living room, up the stairs in all throughout the bedrooms, and then finally right out through the front door!
Long away from the voice of the hypnotist to guide her, Maria wondered aimlessly throughout the neighborhood. "I am hypnotized and I must obey..." she would continue to say, mindlessly unaware of the world around her.
Miraculously, she somehow wondered right back home. The show had been over for awhile now, leaving Maria without a Master to obey. It wasn't for another few hours that she snapped out of her trance, only because she stubbed her toe on a table leg.
"Ow! What the?" Maria looked around, before spotting the clock on the kitchen wall. "12:30?! It was only 7 o'clock when I started watching TV!" She said to herself aloud, shocked. "I've gotta get to bed, I have work tomorrow!"
Maria quickly changed into her sleepwear and got into bed, soon falling fast asleep. All throughout the night she dreamed of being hypnotized again. It's safe to say Maria will be tuning into the weekly hypnosis show each and every week.
