POV Looking at a box of toys in the living room.

POV Lily sitting on the floor in front of the coffee table playing with LEGO. Danny sitting on the couch doing homework. Danny leans forward. “Uhm, Lily-”
Lily looks over her shoulder to Danny.
He suddenly gets a call. He picks up his phone and it says ‘Mom’. He signals to Lily.
Danny “S-sorry, just a sec...”
Lily looks back to Danny, wondering what's going on.
Danny picks up and answers. “Hey, mom.”
Lily has a surprised expression.
Phone “Hey, Hun! How's school?”
Danny “Oh, it's…”
Danny looks at Lily.
Danny “great… I'm glad I decided to go back.”
Phone “Oh I'm glad. Listen… your father was asked to attend a meeting across the country all of a sudden, and I decided to go with him. Is there any way you could watch the dogs for us while we're gone?”
Lily gets up and sits next to Danny on the couch.
Danny “Uh, yea sure. How long?”
Phone “Just a couple of days.”
Danny “Yea... Yea that's fine.”
Phone “Great! Thanks, Hun. We're leaving in just a little bit, so get here soon if you wanna see us.”
Danny “Will do. See you then.”
Phone “See you. Love ya.”
Danny “Love you too, bye.”
Phone “Buh-bye”
Danny hangs up.
Danny leans his head back.
Danny “Well, I guess I'm going back home.”
Lily “What's going on? I only heard a little bit…”
Danny “My parents are leaving for a couple days and need me to look after the dogs.”
Lily “Oh…”
Danny “You're coming with me.”
Lily “Really?”
Danny “Well, I can't leave you here alone.”
Lily “Well… alright…”
Danny “C'mon, let's go pack.”
Danny and Lily pack their things into a duffel bag and head out.
(Full page of scenic illustrations) They drive out through town and into the countryside. Lily points out the trains and the cows.
They arrive at a large house with a large front yard and drive through the gate. Danny sees his parents just exiting the house.
Danny “Lily, lay low for a bit.”
Lily unbuckles and gets down on the floorboard. Danny pulls up and parks the car.
Danny “I'll be back, stay low.”
Danny gets out and walks to his parents.
Lily peeks her head up to see Danny hugging his mom. They start talking for a bit.
Mom “Ooh, it's good to see you! You need to visit more often.”
Danny “I know, I'm sorry. Just so dang busy.”
Mom “I know, Hun.”
Dad “What're you doing again? Computer stuff?”
Danny “Cybersecurity, but yes. Computer stuff.”
Mom “We never see your brother either, he's still stationed abroad.”
Danny “Yea, I don't hear much from him-”
Dad “Margret, we better get going.”
Mom “Right, uhm. There's money on the table in the living room for food. Play with the dogs and clean up after them. Love you, Baby.”
Danny's mom kisses Danny on the cheek and they rush to the car.
Danny's parents drive away.
Danny opens the garage and gets in his car.
Lily “What'd they say?”
Danny “Oh the normal stuff”
Danny starts the car and pulls into the garage.
Lily “Are they nice?”
Danny “Yea, they're just busy as always”
Danny parks the car and gets out. Lily unbuckles while Danny closes the garage. Lily gets out and grabs her purse while Danny grabs the duffel bag.
Danny opens the door to the house and they're greeted by two large dogs.
Lily “Awww! Doggies!”
Lily drops to her knees and hugs the dogs as they crowd her.
Danny “Heheh I knew you'd like each other. That's Sully (brown) and that's Bruce (black).”
Lily “Ooh you're adorable!”
Lily stands up and the dogs follow her.
Lily “Dang, your parents are rich huh?”
Danny “Yea, I guess they are.”
Lily “Must be nice”
Danny says under his breath “You'd think so…”
Lily notices family pictures on a table. One of Danny's brother, one of his parents, one of Danny, and one of all of them. All pictures taken at the beach.
Lily walks to the table and picks up Danny’s picture.“Is… this you?”
Danny “Yep… I must’ve been about your age then…”
Lily “You’re so freaking cute…”
Danny “Heheh, you think so? Maybe we would’ve been together back then too.”
Danny walks away from Lily.
Danny “C'mon…”
Lily thinks for a moment then slips the picture into her purse.
Danny walks to the stairs and goes up, Lily following behind. He opens a door and shows Lily inside.
Lily “Ooh… is this your old room?”
Danny “Y-yea…”
Lily walks in and takes the view in.
There's not a whole lot to the room; posters, a gaming computer and monitor, a dresser with LEGO sets sitting on top, and a standard bed.
Danny sits the duffel bag down on the bed. Danny takes a seat.
Danny “I haven't been back here in so long.”
Lily “Why not”
Danny “Too busy… I guess I'm like my parents in that way…”
Lily sits next to Danny.
Lily “I don't wanna be like my mom… when I have kids I'm gonna love them everyday no matter what!”
Lily looks down.
Lily “I don't think she'd ever told me she loved me…”
Danny rests a hand on her shoulder.
Danny “Well you don't have to worry about that now”
Lily leans into Danny's side, resting against him.
Lily “Tell me more… about your family”
Danny “Uhm… my dad's an architect, my moms a nurse. My brother, Dakota, he's in the military, halfway across the world right now.”
Lily “Wow… do you ever see him?”
Danny “Just every Christmas… My parents made a lot of money so we took a vacation every summer and fall when school was out. We traveled all over the US, Canada, Mexico…”
Lily “Hawaii!?”
Danny “Only when I was little…”
Lily “This is the furthest I’ve been from home… I uhm… never met my dad… mom said he left after he found out she was having me… he told her to get rid of me, and she told me… she wished she listened… She lived with her mom to take care of me. But she died when I was three… then she got really sad…”
Lily starts to tear up.
Lily “The earliest memories I have with her were fights and arguing. She'd hit me if I didn't do what she said, then more if I did something wrong… I went to bed crying almost every night for years. When I met Andrea I always liked to stay at her house after school and to sleepover. But when I went home it'd be the same thing over again…”
Danny “Oh Lily…”
Danny hugs Lily.
Lily “I'm glad I'm with you now…”
Danny “Me too, Hun…”
Lily looks around the room, wiping her tears.
Lily “Heh, this room is very much you…”
Danny “You think so?”
Lily “It's all toys and movie posters”
Danny “Yea yea yea, I haven't changed.”
Lily “Nope, heheh!”
Lily looks up to Danny.
Lily “Kissy!”
Danny gives her a little peck on the lips.
The dogs come up stairs and whimper at the door.
Danny “Let's let em out.”
Danny gets up to take them outside. Lily follows.
Cuts outback, Lily is playing fetch with the dogs. Danny is sitting on the deck with a drink.
Danny has a thinking expression. He gets up and walks over to Lily.
Danny “Hey, Lily. Come with me, there's something I wanna show you.”
Lily follows Danny into the woods behind the house. He picks her up and walks through the thickets, trampling the dead vines.
Danny “Close your eyes.”
Lily closes her eyes.
Lily “Where are we going?”
Danny “It's just up here…”
Danny stops and puts Lily down and faces her to something in front of them.
Danny “Open your eyes.”
Lily opens her eyes to see a treehouse taken by nature.
Lilt “Woooow!”
Danny “Me and my brother used to play here all the time.”
Lily “Was it fun?”
Danny thinks for a moment.
Danny “I don't remember… I don't remember my childhood much. I was too hooked on wanting to grow up. I stayed indoors most of the time, and worked all through high school. Once I decided to go to college I forgot to make friends and to enjoy anything… don't be like me, Lily. Don't throw your childhood away.”
Lily “Y-yea, I'll always be your little girl!”
Danny smiles, “I'm glad.”
The two exit the forest.
Danny “It's getting late, what do you want for dinner?”
Lily “Pizza pizza!”
Danny “Heheh, alright.”
The couple enjoy pizza on the couch while watching a movie.
They get ready for bed. Lily gets something from her purse and takes it to the bathroom.
She comes back to the bedroom and stands before Danny, who is facing away from her.
Lily “D-Danny…”
Danny faces towards Lily, who is now in black transparent lingerie.
Lily “Now, I know you told me not to grow up too fast-and I don't, but… I don’t want to limit myself to things only kids can do… I like being your girlfriend, I love spending time with you and learning new things. I really like kissing and doing sex, then cuddling naked afterwards, and… you're just gonna have to deal with that! Can you do that?”
Danny smiles and walks over to Lily, he kneels down and pulls her into a hug. Lily hugs back tightly.

Danny picks them up.

Lily “Oh, I'm not gonna wear them.”
Danny looks stunned for a moment.

Cut to Danny's hands, cuffed around a post on the headboard.
Montage:

Danny “That's the thing… you can't get married till you're 18.”

Danny “Yea… that's assuming we don't get caught one way or another…”
Lily “But… that's so far away!”
Danny “I know, Hun. But that's the only way…”
Lily “I… I understand…”
Danny “I know it's difficult, but… I'll make it up to you…”
Lily “You will?”
Danny “I promise.”
Danny holds out his pinky.
Lily locks her pinky with his.
They finish up eating breakfast and start walking back to the bedroom.
Danny “So, what do ya wanna do today?”
Lily “Play with the doggies!”
Danny “Heheh, is that all?”
Lily “...Yup!”
Danny “Alright, Hun. Let's get dressed and go play with the doggies.”

Montage:
Cut to the couple in the backyard, Lily is playing with the dogs with Danny on the deck in the background.
They play video games in Danny’s room.
Danny makes lunch and they eat at the island.
Suddenly, the front door jiggles. The dogs run to the door. Danny realizes his parents are back early.
Danny “Lily, run upstairs. That’s my parents!”
Lily “W-why’re they here so early?”
Danny “I don’t know, just run to my room.”
Lily runs up the stairs as soon as they enter the front door.
Danny’s mom “Surprise! Oh hi puppies!!”
Danny “H-hey, what’re you doing back so early?”
Danny’s mom “Well, your dad found a cheaper flight home so we decided to take it.”
Lily sneaks to the bedroom and quietly closes the door.
Danny’s mom “Thanks for looking after the dogs! What else did you do?”
Danny “Oh, just hung out. Did school work. How… was New York?”
Danny’s mom “Oh fine. I went around shopping while your father talked big business heheh! Are you gonna stay for dinner?”
Danny “Uhm, probably not. I have lots of school work to do.”
Danny’s mom “Oh so busy like your father. That’s okay, we’ll probably get take out anyways. Jet lag’s really a bother.”
Danny “Heheh, yea… well I better get going.”
Danny’s mom “Alright, Hun.”
Danny “I'm gonna get my things real quick.”
Danny’s mom “Hey, Hun.”
Danny “What?”
Danny’s mom is standing next to the table with the beach pictures.
Danny’s mom “Where’s your picture?”
Danny “W-what picture?”
Danny’s mom “From the beach, it’s not here…”
Danny [Lily!]
Danny “I… don’t know. I didn’t touch it…”
Danny “Well alright… so weird, I swore it was here when we left…”
Danny goes upstairs to his room. Lily is there waiting for him.
Danny “This is gonna be tough…”
Danny gathers their things and stealthily exits the room, dragging along Lily. They carefully go down the stairs. Danny sees his mom in the living room going through her bags.
Danny “Go to the garage and wait by the car.”
Lily nods then runs through the kitchen to the garage.
Danny “I’m all set.”
Danny’s mom “Alright, give me a hug before you go.”
Lily quietly goes into the garage.
Danny walks through the kitchen to the garage.
Danny whispers “Lily?”
Lily walks out from behind the car.
Danny “Let’s go home…”
Lily “Yea, that… was scary…”
They pack up in the car and head off back home.

I thought the same ... that's a kind of cliche that happens so often that we end up expecting it, but I think the story would take a turn away from the rest of it ... or maybe it can happen on the future

Oh man! Excellent work! You had my heart pounding very hard! I thought lily was going to get caught in the garage by Danny’s dad towards the end for a split there! *whew* also that deception with his parents was basically something I had to live through with my folks as well while growing up.

I doubt that she just bought those herself in a store ... well there's always online shopping, but even so I think it's would not be so easy to get those whitout her parents see the packages

Yea, I was heavily considering Danny opening up to it, but it just didn't work I wrote that they came home early to add some needed drama cause the ending just felt too stale before

Oh wow the parents coming home early was a shock! Im glad Lily wasn't caught but i would love if Danny's parents found her and had one of those "We knew you were this kind of man son" or "We had a similar relationship at your age" kind of talk with him. It'd both be really sweet and give a contrast to Lily's parents. But that might be too unrealistic
