Well, the game isn't called Evoluzione, it's called Evolved, so the English version, but you are right, they should change it

They do already know the existence of my mod. There's no need to delete it. I want to share with the community myself, not just the mod. The discord users do know that. And i'm also glad to show my errors, we're humans after all.

I agree with the sentiment of the users above me. Though a can understand your reaction at the first impuls, I would also suggest to go quietly about that matter in the future. Deleting that post would be a wise idea I guess and a good place to start. Love your mod and I nearly support you for a year now and will continue to do this. I think you have nothing to fear from Kunos ;-)

Such a weird take. You got all that from a 19 second teaser and the name? I like the mod just as much as everyone else, but you can't go around accusing others of "stealing" ideas from you, especially when your "idea" is derivative of a racing game gameplay loop that's been around for decades.

Let us not forget that Alex`s Concept is basically taking the career mode from GT but using AC as the platform. There is no way that Kunos will copy the gt mode.

I love the mod, but this post is embarrassing to read, it's naked frustration and impotent rage and this post puts you and your mod in jeopardy. Let me explain to you why you have exactly zero justifications to complain about theft: - The assumption that they got the word EVO from the name of your mod Evoluzione; surely you aren't ignorant of motorsport and the car industry, surely you know "Evo/Evoluzione" are fairly generic terms in the industry? Mitsubishi, Lamborghini, Sbarro, countless garages and auto body shops in Italy, who knows how many third party parts manufacturers... You most certainly are not the first person to use that word. - The assumption that they used a glitch effect in the teaser because they saw it in your mod; do you know how generic glitch effects are in game trailers and teasers? have you been watching any in the past 15 years? You most certainly are not the first to use them in a game. - Even if they did do build a sequel or an update with a career mode, wouldn't it a good thing if the official developers of the game you are *writing a mod for* are throwing their resources, support, time, capabilities, etc. into a career mode? You most certainly don't own the concept of a career mode. - Lastly and most importantly, Alex, are you okay???!! "Stealing an idea?" Do you think you OWN the idea of that mod??? Especially when this mod's entire concept is extremely derivative and heavily based on Gran Turismo, right down to the parts shop graphics and sound effects? Why in the WORLD would you want to ask your patreons to "raise awareness," are you not concerned about incredibly hypocritical all of this sounds?! I implore you to delete this post, you are being ridiculous, no matter how nice a developer/publisher is, modding is and will always be a matter of goodwill, Kunos like anyone else in the industry is free to tolerate modders - or not. Don't ruin it making claims you can't support, the last thing I want is for you to get a Cease & Desist and your mod to go down.

Before jumping to conclusions, I'm ready to find out if they really copied you (the teaser shows nothing). If their concept is the same as you then yes, I'LL BLOW THEIR HEADS OFF XD. That's a popular canned effect in almost every modern video editor. To be frank if AC didn't exist you would have made 0$ off this mod because it wouldn't exist, and now you're upset at an AC2 trailer because it used a canned effect that you also used? Why did you call your mod Evoluzione? An Italian word.... like Competizione? Could seem like your stealing ideas here from AC. Do you see where I'm heading with all this? It's all silly and comes off as a weird ego flex. Assetto gave you the platform for your business, don't bite the hand that fed you.

Exactly that, the mod is exactly GT in AC. If they decide to give us better base content in the sequel and we don't need 999 mods to have a complete game I guess everyone will be happy.

It's not the concept of steal the idea, it's the mindset to use the same graphical stuff. Like, that glitch effect made me pretty mad.

"emphasizing that it's not nice to steal an idea"... did you not steal the idea for this mod from GT? That's literally the reason I sub to this, it's an attempt at a GT style career mode on PC. How can you possibly be upset? Because of a word and a re-hashed idea from the 90's.... insane.

It might be a strong reaction to worry they stole the entire concept of your mod based on a teaser with no footage at all, just a generic glitch effect (one of the most popular effects ever) and the name EVO. I am curious to see how it plays out and hope your worries are unfounded.

Would argue that it’s too early to say that the new AC is a straight copy of your work just cause of the name and the glitch effect, which is a popular effect overall. Lets just wait and see into what AC EVO evolves.
