Like a lot of GRRM's prophecies, I think there are multiple interpretations. Blood and Cheese are also beasts from beneath the boards..

Great video, really opened up the story for me. One quibble. I don't think the beast beneath the boards was Rhaenys's dragon erupting from under the stones of the coronation. I think it's more likely Aegon's bastard that we saw hiding beneath the floor boards of the fighting pit. There was a very purposeful shot of the light hitting his face with the lines of the floor boards prominently casting shadows. Once again, you have my undying love for doing manual captions. Autogenerated ones are utterly incomprehensible. THANK YOU! I'm surprised that you didn't mention that Alicent is now living in Rhaenyra's old rooms. At least Ser Criston is remaining consistent in where he's breaking his vows most often. It's really interesting how HOTD is interpreting "Fire and Blood", and I wonder how much GRRM is creating/endorsing the changes since the show is supposed to be the "unvarnished truth", unlike the book. Archmaester Gyldayn is biased in favor of Aegon II, and the show wants us to side with Rhaenyra. It seems that way to me, at least. I'm calling it now, Archmaester Gyldayn reporting that Rhaenyra cut herself on the throne all the time is going to be false. I have a theory that she'll be bleeding once for an entirely different reason when coming off the throne for the first time, and it'll get distorted by the people who see it- the way rumors always do. I think likely reasons she could bleed coming off the iron throne would be because she went straight there from fighting on dragon back and didn't get treated for injuries beforehand, or she started menstruating and couldn't leave the throne to take precautions. As an AFAB person, it's a problem you have no choice but to power through. Rhaenyra menstruating on the throne would be a powerful message to reinforce how revolutionary it is having a female ruler on the iron throne for the first time. The male rulers before her leaving blood on the throne would've meant injury and/or death. In direct contrast, Rhaenyra's menstrual blood on the throne is the potentiality for life.
