I completely misunderstood the Alicent and Otto scene following the murder. Where she says “The hand that’s done it is not who must be blamed”, I interpreted that as Alicent saying that the hand who directly did it, as in Blood and Cheese shouldn’t be blamed in the public eyes, but can be shifted towards blaming Rhaenyra, following what Otto schemed as a way to gain public support against the blacks. But of course I wasn’t thinking of their history of friendship between Alicent and Rhaenyra and the influence of religion on Alicent so your interpretation makes more sense than the political manipulation aspect of Otto coming out of Alicent

Thank you guy for the video , always the best. I peronally loved the scene in the brothel where Aemon behaves a bit like a child with clear lack of affection from the family especially from the mother (or at least I perceived it in this way), Rhenyra who is no longer able to trust Denon and who finally opens her eyes to who she married, but above all I think that everything about Alicent in this episode is FUCKING INTERESTING, the god-fearing one who believes whatever happens is due to her "sins" in contradiction to her who after years by somatizing Otto's teachings she is finally "free" and can fuck whoever she wants like Rhenyra has always done without suffering consequences, only that thanks to the way she was raised she still feels dirty for her sins. I also loved the scene where he tries not to immediately blame Rhenyra knowing that she would never do something like that. I'm also SOOO interested to the possible return of lanor !?!? 👀👀

Lots of thoughts on this fantastic episode and Lad Chat. Love how schwift breaks the neutrality of the post episode livestream because of how good this episode is. Genuinely the best episode (so far!). We are SO back The boy carrying a bucket of ash in the beginning was cleaning out the fireplaces, but a bucket of Dad's Cremation works too These streams make a lot of things click for me. Like Alicent not understanding kids because she was never able to be a kid, or really how to emotionally connect to others outside of a political lense despite clearly longing for that connection. Otto built her a prison that her kids were born into. glidus cover of I want to die in a war when?? hot war cold war dragon war zombie war Fabien Frankel is crazy good at acting crazy. He's so incredibly unnerving without even saying anything. Vibrating with rage is a good way to put it. Regarding what Daemon ordered of Blood and Cheese, it does seem from context, and fits with Daemon, that he did explicitly condone killing Jahaerys. *Maybe* he said a son for a son meaning to imply no, only Aemond, but it's unlikely. That being said, I kind of hope he didn't. If he didn't, it parallels Luke's death, and even things like the tournament in the very first episode. Every time people decide on violence, much as they think they are controlling how far it goes, it goes further than they expect it to.
