What is Oh So Hero!?
Q: What is this game?
A: Oh So Hero! is a 2.5D lewd metroidvania game for PC, Mac, Linux, and Android! Play as the dragonesque Joe to fight and fornicate with your rivals, get intimate with a menagerie of anthropomorphic characters, and embark on a sex-filled adventure to win the mysterious alien Gerrabacco tournament being held on Joe's island!
The first act of this adventure is now available for $9.99 USD on Steam and itch.
Q: Is this the full game?
A: Oh So Hero! is currently available as the first act in Joe's quest to win the Gerrabacco tournament! This is a complete chapter where Joe travels from Sheo Islands Beach to Lood City and challenges the dragon boss, Bates!
Act 1 can be completed in a few hours if you are progressing swiftly to the end of the game, but those who wish to make the most of their experience with the characters–in a multitude of lewd positions–will spend a lot more time in the world of Aeter. This first act features over 300 animations and a total of over 15,000 frames of hand-drawn high-resolution sprite animations!
Due to the shorter-than-average game length, we are selling the game at a more affordable price than other titles of this quality: $9.99 USD! And until June 6th, you can get it on Steam at a discounted rate of $8.99!
Your purchase of Oh So Hero! comes with bug fixes and select content updates for Act 1, which are expected to be steady in the coming months. We will continue to improve quality-of-life and even add some new animations.
Q: What about future acts?
A: Future acts of Oh So Hero! are on the horizon. Each completed act will be sold as DLC. Rather than paying $40 or more for a full game, you'll pay a smaller amount–like $10–for each Act, and experience the world of Aeter within a more reasonable timeframe.
We feel this pizza-by-the-slice approach is the best way to share Joe's story with a wider community of players while also funding our tiny team to grow and make bigger, better work! If you're familiar with popular games like Deltarune or Poppy Playtime, this has a similar structure. In our case, the first act is for sale, though a free demo will arrive later!
What should I know when playing Oh So Hero!?
Q: What if I am a new player with questions about the game?
A: Please read the official FAQ on our wiki! While you are there, you can explore the rest of the wiki to learn more! We are still in the process of updating our wiki for the release of Act 1, but it has a lot of useful information.
Q: What if I am returning from an older version, like a development build, or the Pre Edition II demo?
A: If you are coming to v1.00 (Act 1) from an older version, please delete your old game save data!
Our goal was to make it easy to migrate your data, especially through Steam Cloud, but unfortunately some players have experienced the game crashing or hanging when using old game save data. Furthermore, old data can trigger certain Steam Achievements to be unlocked automatically, which may be undesirable.
Because of this, we recommend you start a new save before playing!

Q: What if I run into a bug or experience a problem?
A: We aim to have a good experience for all players, but bugs are inevitable, and it's our priority to fix them whenever possible! If you run into a bug or experience a problem with the game, please post about it in the comments or in the Steam forums. Our moderators are there to help, and we will be monitoring for information to help us make these fixes!
Whenever submitting a bug report, please provide your operating system and system specifications to help us debug the problem. If possible, please submit an error log. Not only will this provide all necessary info automatically, it may tell us the exact location of the bug in code. This way we can investigate more quickly and get it resolved for an upcoming bug fix update!

What is next for Oh So Hero!?
Q: What new features will be added to Act 1?
A: Aside from the standard bug fixes, there are some features we will be rolling out as free updates to Oh So Hero!
The biggest upcoming feature is localization. This will provide translation into various languages, including Brazilian Portuguese and a few others! We already have some people lined up to help, and simply need time to finish the programming. If you would like to help translate the game or contribute in any other way, please fill out this form so we can contact you if and when the need arises!
Q: Does this game have a soundtrack?
A: Yes! The Oh So Hero! Act 1 Original Soundtrack is available on several stores, and we are awaiting approval from Valve to list it on Steam as well!
Q: Will there be a free demo?
A: Yes! After we have finished all important updates to the game, we will create a free demo of Oh So Hero! Please stay tuned~
Q: What are the specifics of Act 2 development?
A: In the coming months, we will create a new development roadmap. Because this is outside the scope of Act 1, we ask you to visit our website to find ways to become part of its development!
Q: I live in Germany or China. Can I get a Steam Key?
A: No. Unfortunately, there are legal complications around the access of adult games in some countries; notably Germany and China. Furthermore, Steam Keys are a limited resource, and we have already delivered most of our keys as rewards to our long-time supporters.
