Oh So Hero! Dev Preview #13

Ket's Update:
Hey everyone! I’m glad to be updating you again. We are making good progress and I wanted to share part of what I’ve been working on. Let there be poise!
Poise is a new mechanic we are rolling out as part of the creation of Bates, our first boss dragon boi. Actually, we’re gonna put a little bit on Stier as well. I’ll explain how it works.
When an enemy or boss has poise, they will be immune to flinching (or what we call hitstun). Joe's attack won’t stop them from moving. They are also immune to going down. If you attack an enemy with poise, they can still barrel right through you! Toro! Toro!
I updated the enemy HP bar again, and this time it includes a poise bar if the enemy has poise (shown as a white bar above the HP). Also, damage will now “fall away” from these bars. I’d like to revise the visual style of this and Joe’s own HP bar (lifebar) for a more uniform look (a task for the future).
Back on topic, once you deal enough poise damage to an enemy, their poise will be broken. Then your attacks will make them flinch! You can even use a power move to knock them down!
When an enemy gets back up, their poise will be refilled. Choose your attacks wisely when battling these enemies!
Red's Update:
Hey everyone! It's been a while. I wanted to apologize for the lack of updates on my side of things. Life has been pretty busy and some annoyances have gotten in the way. For the past two months I've been dealing with managing my wrist pain and looking for a suitable arm brace to allow me to work properly. After trying two that weren't very good (one of them made things worse) I finally found a decent one recently that allows me to work at a good pace but I still can't quite go turbo mode like I used to, so please bear with me. Progress is slow but it's moving along.
The good news is that over the coming months I will be able to post more of the NSFW animations on our Twitter account as they're made so you guys don't have to wait all the way till the next update to see some nice Bates previews and occasional other goodies.
