great pose 👍. I believe the previous composition is more focus on his facial expression, but let see how this goes since we do not see the whole composition / elements yet :D .

I think both would look great but since your mind thought to add the legs, I'd say keep going with the idea Taran! I could see him leaning on a rail on a boat, day dreaming while watching the water. But his upper body is close to a sitting position as well so I could see him hunched over a bar or maybe playing poker at a table (cards under his hands) and that's his relaxed poker face. Lots of ways you could go with it.

I think it works! As others have said you can always make a cropped version if you wanted to adjust the moo(d) of the piece

Even with the edit, I'd still say nay. What he's leaning on might be a better frame for the composition rather than dividing it in half, IMO. Plus his facial colorings are so striking I'd focus on that.

Generally Yay, but the pose feels unbalanced like he is about to fall forwards on his face. Maybe if he was leaning on like a table of something this would work better.

This. A full body is always nice but the feel might be ruined if the legs are added. They look good but they just don't help convey the emotion Spruce is showing if that makes sense

I'd like to see! Though it feels a little off... Like the movement is great, but it conveys a weirdly different type of mood if that makes sense 🤔

I like it, but I like the other one more cuz you get a better look at his expression and his beautiful eyes. But the addition would still be great to see!
