Edit: Made a few changes to the piece to fix some things that I wasn't happy with. First, the large block of light on the arm/upper back was too large and bright and was drawing a lot of attention away from the face, so breaking that from up a bit, helped with that. I went with a more regular striped light, as if through a barred window or something for context's sake (he's kind of emaciated looking). Also, I went with the angle of the stripes to contrast with the angle of the light beams, AND more importantly to lead the eye up to the face.
