Yep, everything is drawn by a Japanese pro artist. :D Thank you so much for your kind words!

Wow, I had no idea this was all hand-drawn. Well, that adds to the charm. It definitely makes sense to focus only on the recurring characters. Keep it up. I'm rooting for you :)

I'm pretty sure every background character in like 99% of all visual novel games doesn't have a sprite. There's no reason to waste resources on a sprite for a character that will only be on screen once or have less than a minute of dialogue. Most devs don't even give them a silhouette, they're just text and/or voice when they interact with the MC.

Hello! Thank you so much for your feedback. <3 Our illustrated sprites are all handmade, so we can only use them for recurring characters. Otherwise, it would take too many resources to make a customized sprite for every NPC, especially those that only have a few lines. You’ll find even AAA games use this technique. :D Rest assured, Gon and Ryuichi (the UBs), will be upgraded with customized sprites in the future. It’s just about using our limited funds smartly atm. Many of our readers hunger for more Akari romantic scenes! Once we have enough to satisfy people’s desires, we’ll start working on the UB sprites. :D

Hi, I stumbled into this game last night. I have to say it's been interesting, I like this dev's ideas. However, I dislike that the background characters are black silhouettes instead of actually drawn characters. It really breaks my immersion. Is there a plan to address this in the future, or is this considered a feature? Otherwise, awesome job :)
