Monthly picture sketch!
🕑 Added 2021-09-16 09:14:44 +0000 UTCHi everyone! As previously mentioned, the September image theme turned out to be "Honey."
I'm sort of wanting to throw things at the wall and see what sticks, so here's a look at a quickie sketch I did, just to gauge interest/approval.
I wanted to go for a honeybee design, and more specifically a queen bee, based on a suggestion I'd gotten elsewhere. Hence the elongated abdomen in blue there, based on images I'd seen comparing the different classes of honeybees in a hive.
Anyway!! Let me know if I'm on the right track here.

She is quite pretty and I like her appearance. I won't have to think about looking in detail at the difference in the abdomen in bees, but it's great this little detail. I love this result, especially since this is your first time drawing an insect character. : 3
