Sabbath Buster Cancellation Update
🕑 Added 2022-05-10 20:59:58 +0000 UTCYeah, you're reading that correctly ; Im ending my Webcomic prematurely. Now, I know what you're thinking, and im disappointed in myself too, but at least let me try to explain why :
First off, The actual comic : I feel like my skills in terms of writing and art aren't up to par for what I wanted for this story. In hindsight I front loaded too much information at the start, dragged the pace at a crawl, and realized that there are very inherit problems with what exactly I had planned for the story, and made me realize that "Oh god, In order for this to work it needs MASSIVE re-writes/changes", to the point where its more advantageous to shelf what I've made so far and just try again from scratch in a few years.
Second : The Scope. I was prepared to make this a commitment for several years, but by time I'd even get to the 3rd year mark at my previous rate, I'd only be about a THIRD through the full story I wanted to make. Sadly this is the pace for most webcomics, I know, but upon review on what I had planned out, even getting to the 1/3rd mark STILL would've had too many far slow moments, too many explanations, and overall probably wouldnt of been a good read If I go about it the way I have been.
And lastly : Sustainability. Im gonna be real, I've only RECENTLY had the hope the patronage on here would support my endeavors after making some "Changes", and I can see that its clear as day that what I had to offer before just simply wasnt cutting it. Growth on here and just overall as gone to a crawl ever since I started making sabbath buster updates, so its painfully clear that something is wrong. So unfortunately its also a more smarter financially decision to shelf the project and move onto something else. But luckily, I DO have something to fill the gap.
Once I get settled into my new place next month, A big reveal for my next comic will be made, and will be start on a much higher and stable note that Sabbath Buster did. The only reason I havent shown off anything at all is simple : I want to be more spontaneous with the process. I wanna try new things, write a bomb ass comic that forces me to be more creative on the fly, and try out new techniques that'll make it stand out in a fration of the time. But once I get this thing going, I have a good feeling between the extra support on here and the lessons I learned, things are gonna turn around for the better!
So once again, i deeply apologize for cutting this thing short, but rest assured that one day I will make the attempt once again when im ready. And when I do, it'll be even better that anything I've made before, count on it.

Damn, that's unfortunate, I was really liking the story. But I understand, and if you're not happy with it, then that's what really matters. I'll keep supporting yer patreon, even if Buster was why I was drawn here in the first place. Looking forward to your future projects, though!
