🕑 Added 2018-08-24 23:36:32 +0000 UTC Hey, folks. It seems like no matter what kinds of plans I make, I'm always forced or inspired to go in another direction, so I'm not really sure what the point of these posts are, but here's one anyway.Commissions
First thing's first, I may have to go on extended hiatus with commissions again. There are a number of factors that have me on edge lately and I want to see how things play out before I continue moving at the same pace. If you're one of the three people currently on the commission list, then don't worry, I'll still complete yours. For everyone else, I'm sorry, but I feel like I have to play a waiting game before I can commit to commissions again.
I'm truly grateful to everyone who's commissioned me and everyone who wants to commission me, I wish I was more consistent.
Art direction
This one is another matter of walking an undesired path. You've probably seen multiple artists make posts about their content being taken down, or even people getting suspended or banned. Long story short, supposedly it has to do with recently-passed bills pertaining to sex workers, rather than general NSFW content. Regardless, sites seem to be taking overly-precautious measures to avoid any legal issues. Unfortunately, I'm not educated on the matter, so I can't say more than that. All I know is that sites are cracking down and content creators are taking hits.
So, what's this mean for my art? Well, hopefully nothing, but hope doesn't make a tangible difference. To be on the safe side, I might start shifting more towards SFW content, at least when it comes to commissions and/or posting on DA. There are so many uncertainties that I just don't have a well-thought-out answer right now though. I'll still draw kinks and squishy girls, but you might start seeing more fully-clothed ladies and/or censored pics from me for a while. We'll have to see how things go.
Patreon
The one saving grace in all of this is that I'm steadily gaining support on Patreon each month. Honestly, there's a good chance I might have to focus solely on building up my Patreon to be my main (or only) income source. I feel like I'm split between too many things at the moment and they're all suffering for it (Patreon, commissions, personal content, gifts for friends, etc.).
I've already started up a monthly OC comic, but I might start doing more OC stuff in general. Despite how much attention characters from popular franchises get, I haven't had any attachment to most of them in years. I don't play those games, I don't watch the shows, I usually just don't care aside from "hey, that chick is kinda hot". And, whenever I do have a fun idea, I'm usually torn between getting the easy views or actually giving my OCs some attention and building them up into something people want to see.
Me
What about me and my depressed-ass...ass? Well, Metapod used Harden. I don't know how much worth my words have when all I do is repeatedly refuse to let people get close or help me, but I appreciate the comments, notes, advice, and well-wishes.
That being said, I deal with things in my own way, for better or worse. Maybe some day I'll change, but for now, that's the only defense I've got.
