Yeah... unfortuantelly, skipping fillers will left you confused, as they mix canon with filler oftenly... at least fillers are interesting that way. Anyway, they considered making Kakashi a Hokage, but Danzo argument about First Hokage teaching leading to Konoha current state made him convince daimyo to make him the Sixth.
