Neel to clarify, while fighting the 8Tails, the Raikage fell forward onto his own attack and hence why he was ashamed to speak about it. He didn't get up and give himself the scar. Also you're forgetting that the Mizukage though goofy looking killed Mu, so he could be the stronger of the two.

Some of the 'filler' later on should be watched as they add a lot of world-building and some are fun to watch.
some fillers are worth watching but honestly the next anime canon episode is hype so just skip it

Yep, the ending montage of scenes is probably just to show and remind the viewer of the different main battlefields since they focused on just one for the past few episodes. Naruto can't sense things like thoughts or actually see what is happening in those places beyond sensing the state of everyone's chakra.
