51:00 A Naruto novel actually explained this. I guess it's not a spoiler since the anime hasn't to my knowledge ever covered it, but be warned anyway. Namely, Sarutobi did try to keep Naruto being a jinchuruki a secret from everyone except the higher ups in the Leaf. However, a certain someone leaked the information in secret. Namely, Danzo (of course it was him) believed that if the village had someone to direct their hate to (Naruto) they would be stronger and recover faster from the trauma the nine tails inflicted. Thus the best Sarutobi could do was keep the information secret from Naruto's own generation and forbid the villagers from discussing what they knew openly.
