No that has nothing to do with what Root A did. It was inconsequential at that point and it could have been effortlessly added back in one it actually becomes relevant to the story. Root A is an inconsistent mess of a fucked up mix of the original plotline and a completely mutilated alternative plotline Ishida specifically created for it.

Avatar is so far better than the Tokyo Ghoul anime, the Tokyo ghoul anime after season 1 is a shit show, avatar has 3 continuously good seasons.

I disagree, we are talking about completely different scales here. Season 1 turns a psychological seinen into a edgy battle Shonen Nevertheless the core of the story and characters is still there, the art and animation is consistent and it's not rushed to hell. That can't be said of the following seasons.

Tokyo Ghoul is a great series but sadly the anime adaptation is a huge mess. While Season 1 is worth watching everything after it has some major problems in one way or another. So just dropping it might be a good choice. Though I do highly recommend reading the manga even if just for yourself.

The first season is great, short and it can be watched as only one season as it has great ending. I hope you can finish it.

The first season is great. But I'm sure after that season the show will drop in view count because many people lost interest after that. HOWEVER, if you want to go ahead and start Avatar, I would be more than happy to accept that as a replacement
