This is by far the best episode for me. But only because it felt so good that the idiots were killed. I am glad this anime has also some political aspects so that episodes where more action happens can be enjoyed even more..

Shogo had figured out that killing a human would make him stronger because he had accidentally done it back in Falmouth in practice. Since Kirara was stronger and even had Unique Skills, Shogo gained a new Skill from killing her. Also, the black mist is when Rimuru creates anything larger than his own body, which they mentioned back in season 1 when he first made a body double after acquiring a human body and gained Ifrit's power.
