yeah there are bad translations in anime all the time and normally you can navigate around them but that one is egregious. It has always bothered me.

The "more than a match for Lady Millim" is simply a gross mistranslation, he says he can serve as playmate for Millim, in other words he can spar with her without having to be afraid of just randomly dying. That is quite the feat of strength in itself but is a completely different level from being "a match for Millim".
