the story doesnt fall off, matter fact objectively it simply just keeps getting better, the problem is the animation in some of the most anticipated fights were HORRIBLE

The drop in quality refers to the animation, which slowlyy gets worse starting now and craters in about 7 episodes or so. I don't think you're the type to pay close enough attention to notice, but it's stuff like characters being drawn off model, characters missing facial features in some shots, inconsistent framing, less frames of animation for the action scenes, etc.
