Ichigo is special and the main character so that comparison's really not fair. Uryu you could argue is the Sasuke to Ichigo's Naruto so you can put him down as a secondary MC. As for their feats well.. I won't spoil anything here. Keep watching ;)

Ichigo is younger than him and he ALSO does not want to go out and fight nor become a soul reaper. He ONLY did it to protect his friends and family around him. Ishida is also younger than him and the current him would mop the floor with Hitsugaya. There is no disrespect when people say all he does is hold Ls because that's a FACT. Man the disrespect on Toshiro :)) He's literally the youngest captain with a sword so powerfull that he has the potential to be Yama or beyond level when he grows up to say, Byakuya or Shunui's age, just with ice instead of fire. He had no desire to even become a shinigami in the first place, he did it because it was the only safe way to train his power that was getting out of control. Left unchecked it would have killed everyone around him

I kind of doubt that Kubo usually refers to Giselle as she, as most interviews would be in Japanese, the translators that translate it do, In Japanese you can talk about someone for an hour without ever using a gendered pronoun and it wouldn't be weird.

Correction for the guy in chat saying "boku" confirms he is guy. It doesn't. Some girls use it in Japan. Boku isn't exclusive to boys. However she is a guy, though that's just Kubo lies ^_^

Giselle Gewelle is trans, yes she was born as a male but she identifies as she/her, Charlotte saying "--because you and i are much a like" is just referring to Charlotte being queer coded himself. Kubo has confirmed that Giselle is biologically male, but Kubo himself refers to Giselle in every single interview as either "Giselle" or "she." The official anime website used to refer to Giselle as she before this episode after which they were changed to gender neutral pronouns in the Japanese text on the site, however if you attempt to directly translate it to English they will come up as he/him as Japanese gender pronouns are notoriously hard to translate to other languages clearly tl;dr Giselle is transfem
