I don't think you was understanding the Nemu name part. She doesn't prefer Nemuri no 7. She likes that he calls her Nemu. She just wonders why Mayuri stopped calling her by her official name. She didn't understand that Mayuri started calling her Nemu because he considered her a success. She wasn't apart of his failed projects and he really couldn't express how proud of her he was other than to start calling her something different than his past failures.
