Here's a quick dev update.
I'm almost done with the new Terminal map, I have already done multiple AI testing with the map and I'm pretty happy how it turned out for the early access. I will share bunch of screenshots of the game-ready map within few days.
On top of this, I have done some small playtesting with the "map distances" like:
Village -> School -> Outpost (WIP) -> Border -> Apartments -> Terminal
When I have done this kind of testing I have figured that there's a small design problem related to Vostok map with the current features and loot, here's an explanation.
Basically when you now have to travel a lot more in the early access and when you are taking that risk of going into the permadeath zone, there isn't really a specific need to take "bigger risk" of going further into the Vostok when you get the same level of loot in the first Vostok map already.
In other words, I feel like I have to prioritize some specific lore elements already for the early access that makes the risk going deeper into the permadeath zone worth it. Some of these things were planned after the early access but I'm now starting to figure out that I have to implement some of these much earlier than expected since otherwise all the effort related to these new Vostok maps is a bit unnecessary from the player perspective if there isn't a direct need to access those maps (part from exploring).
I will share more details about these "specific needs" to travel further and how I'm going to solve that for the early access once I have both the Terminal and Outpost map done.
