i feel like twisted paradise is very my chemical romance/panic at the disco coded and off the mask is more alexisonfire/system of a down vibe with the melodic guitar and scream with a major chord twist... either way love that yuta throws me back to my days of liking post hardcore pop punk stuff like you did with PTV !!

I've been absolutely OBSESSED with twisted paradise since it came out, it has such Queen vibes while also being so uniquely yuta Yuta is a big fan of jrock, hes talked about how much he loves Hyde and L'Arc~en~Ciel so we knew he would probably go for a rock vibe for his solo work but he really WENT for it and its been so great watching him make the music he loves!!!!!

To me, twisted paradise is about his relationship with being an idol. He clearly loves it, but at the same time he might like being an artist so much that he let's SM mistreat and disregard him, and also, everything outside of 127 that he's done has NOTHING to do with being an idol. He loves MAKING MUSIC. hence "who am i?" He's given up almost a decade of his life for something that looking back on, he's not even sure was the right choice. There have been multiple instances where YUTA has expressed his dislike for SM.

For comparison, I definitely got Queen vibes and even Day6 vibes for sure with Twisted Paradise and then his performance gave Joker vibes like the beautiful insanity aspect of Joker. As for the lyrics, I'm not sure if it's meant to be romantic or not? I felt like it was about his struggles of being an artist, craving the love from his fans, him enjoying making music and performing but then his company "laughs at him" or doesn't take him seriously enough and mistreats him, so it's like a twisted paradise where he loves it but also gets hurt from it?? Idk but it's beautiful either way 🥹
