The gap isn't as long as it seems. I had a lot of drafting to do to get all of the complex moving parts figured out for the next arc, and I'm honestly still not done even before beginning this chapter. I'll probably have to take some more time to finish that. It just becomes a really wild adventure managing all of the free moving parts if you play around in ASOIAF(even back in the dawn of the Targaryen dynasty).

Very good chapter and tonal shift. It feels like everything prior was an epilogue. I never really read any of the GoT, so while most of these characters started as essentially brand new entities, they are beginning to feel more distinctive. I imagine MC is going to run into the dragon eggs at some point and raise himself an adorable, homicidal flying lizard or three. Need to give them proper Nordic names. "Baleri-what? No. This is 'A Shadow Whose Fury Darkens the Sun and Lays Waste to All Creation'. Yes, you need to say the entire thing each time, why do you ask?"
