It's nine years into the future and an all out war has been on-going between the Marleyans and the Eldians for the past four years. We witness the battle go down from the Marleyans view point as they put together a strategic plan to officially end this war. As the Marleyans manage to win the war and kill off even more Eldians, they realize their time to reclaim the Founding Titan is short and must make a move immediately!

Regarding the artwork: Season 1-3 was WIT studio, season 4 is from MAPPA. MAPPA is faster than WIT and they had too little time, so MAPPA took over. In my opinion, I liked the look of WIT more, but in the later half of season 4 MAPPA had also more time and the animation is better.

Some things have already been mentioned by others. But also wanted to note some stuff: - 9 years from the first attack on the walls (1x1). The first three seasons cover 5 years. 4x1 is now 4 years after 3x22. - Those who possess one of the nine titans only last 13 years (not 17) - This war that has waged on for the last 4 years is a separate group/people who got into a war with Marley because they saw Marley weakened by losing the colossal and female titan when their attack on Paradis island failed to obtain the founding titan (first three seasons). Also technology/weapons/etc have improved. So Marley is attacking this group and the Eldians fight for Marley. Remember the Eldians are kept in interment zones in Marley and are basically treated like garbage and looked down upon. - 14:05 of your video we learn the names of the two other titans we see, the Jaw and Cart titans. Colt suggests sending them in, but Commander Magath shoots that idea down until they take out the anti Titan armored train. At this point in the show we are aware of 8 of the 9 titans: - Attack Titan - Founding Titan - Colossal Titan - Female Titan - Armored Titan - Beast Titan - Jaw Titan - Cart Titan Hope this info helps.
